No call about that job yet, but I did find out about the Book World job. Part Time and starts at minimum wage. Not good enough. Too bad, would have been a fun job. I will be calling the Temp Agency guy once I finish this entry to see if he's heard anything. It can take some time to decide who you want to interview, I suppose, but each day it takes makes me a bit more concerned. I want that job pretty bad. In fact, I'm going to call now, brb!
Well, that was disheartening. The guy didn't remember my name, then asked me how to spell it. Said he needed to find my file. Then asked if we'd met. I said, you CALLED me, telling me about a position and asking if I was interested, then that you were putting me on a list of potential interviewees. He acted like he'd never heard of me, or it before in his life. Can you get so busy that you just forget something like that? Wow. I can't imagine that, but my memory is much better than most and I can remember things that most people cannot.
Well, he called back, moments later, which is good. Said that he is still working on it, waiting for a response from the company. That he is working on a rate, since they are new with him. That he will be calling me back as soon as he hears anything.
I asked if I'd been forgotten, as I was a bit concerned there during the first call.
He said no, just that he had people in front of him, and the phone was ringing off the hook, and my name wasn't working with him. So I guess he's forgiven. If he doesn't pull this crap again, that is!
And I'd better get the job or I'll be going postal. Just kidding.
