next day's entry
previous day's entry January 8, 2004
Hello.  Day 4.  Hard to write today, I'm a bit antsy.  Got a message from Karla that the Agency guy in Menominee found a possible job for me, and now I am sitting here waiting to find out if I am going to get an interview for it.  Crossing my fingers.  Imagine, giving notice here next week, and starting there on Groundhog Day, the pay is a little bit less, but more hours than I work here, so it evens out a little.  Plus I'd be saving $300 a month in gas, and $250 in rent, to spend on the house and life there.  Imagine the immediate improvement in situations up there?  Jeez.

But it was a situation where he needed a couple people and would forward your name and info to the company, so I might not be one of those chosen.   But at least it's closer than I've gotten so far.  Kind of gives me a little ray of hope.  Told some of the people I work with and they are very sad, they all seem to think it's in the bag already and that I'm gone.  I certainly hope they are right.  I can understand their fear though, and sadness, I do a lot more here than anyone really knows.  Aside from my job.  Just helping to relax the place, since this is such a stressful environment, me being so laid-back helps to adjust that.  But I do hope I'm leaving!!!

My cell phone difficulties continue.  I spent the other night calling the wrong number, and then this morning I forgot it at the house.  Nothing like a potential employer trying to call you, and not having your damn cell phone with you!  Grrrrrr at me.  So I have to give him the direct work line, and hope that none of the more unruly coworkers of mine, who abuse the line as if it's their home phone, can manage to stay off of it for a few minutes.  Grrrr at them if they don't!

Wish he'd call!!!!!  I want to either arrange an interview, or know that I don't have a shot.  And I want it now!

Anyway, I put up a comic on ebay yesterday at 99 cents.  Within 24 hours it's up to $18.50.  What a beautiful thing.  I saw a similar one go for $61, so I basically copied his ad.  Maybe I will have the same luck.  I spent about 50 cents on the book when I bought it as part of a larger selection.  See, Chris, selling can be fun!

Watching Tomb Raider 2: Cradle of Life last night.  Not too bad.  Some of the accents were pretty funny.  Especially the british/irish/scottish guy.  I'm probably wrong, and that's just how he talks, but he just sounded silly, changing regional accents every few words.  And why doesn't Angelina Jolie have a butt?  Great lips, great boobs, no butt at all.  How can you be a sex object with no butt?   She should be disqualified!

Ok, going to try to do some work to take my mind off of waiting for this call.

Hey, told my mom about it, so she could pray.  Never thought she might pray against it.  Wonder which will work better?  Lol.
