The Church and the Community
The Glory Evangelical Church was founded by Pastor Florentino Lim. He was from Davao and transferred to Manila because he had a calling.
The church building has five floors. The ground floor is the parking area. The 2nd floor is the sanctuary. The 3rd floor is where some office rooms and Sunday school rooms can be found. The 4th floor includes an area for eating and an area to hold the fellowships and bible study. The 5th is a covered basketball court and baptismal area.
The Church Ministry has plenty of very active Community Care groups such as The Malate Care Group, Marina Care Group, Caloocan Care Group, Paco Care Group and the Quezon Care Group. Other activities that Glory Evangelical Church holds are prayer meetings, Children Sunday School and Youth Fellowship. The church members are very friendly. Some of the church goers are from Ateneo De Manila University and some are from De La Salle. I made new friends there. Some of the goers are my old friends from high school and elementary. The church is a a very great place to bond with my friends, meet new friends and learn more about God. My first time at church felt awkward because I was new there and everyone there knew each other. I was with 3 of my friends. 2 of them knew some of the people there while me and the other one don't. My friend also knew some of them. So we just played basketball with other church people. Then while playing, we got to know each other. After playing, they serve free dinner so we ate. We really felt welcome there. The people are very friendly.
