The simplest is that of atheism - that the reality of divinity is that it doesn't exist at all. For some of us, experience has clashed too much with the expectations that one would hold, given this assumption, for this to seem reasonable.

A common objection to this reply is that those experiences are not verifiable by everyone. The fallacy in this, is that it confuses the concept of my being convinced by what I have seen, with that of my suggesting that you should be convinced by what I say I have seen. What one knows about a situation will be highly dependent on one's vantage point with respect to it.
