Hey, why so formal? Harriet is fine. Or Nocturne.

In my editorial career, the editor (whether called the editor or the editor in chief) determines what is published, when it's published, etc. The editor also edits (bold edits) the piece. That's been my biggest complaint about previous and current papers. They tend to illiteracy, even when making useful, intelligent points. If I'm editing, I insist on the right to turn the piece in good English.

There ought also to be people who can, with the authority of the paper, ask someone to write on what he/she is doing. Reporters, that is. Maybe this comes under the "procurer" job description, perhaps as assistants? BTW, "procurer" makes me think of "white slaves"; can we come up with a better name?

Anyway, yes, you can use my letter as long as you include the PS. The PS is equally important. And yes, please don't use my phone number. If this works out, then we deal with phone numbers and such. And I would appreciate our working face-to-face in a meeting rather on the net. I like dealing with people I know! But everything doesn't have to be face-to-face; questions that come up could be dealt with on the net. I just mean for planning sessions and that kind of thing.

And thanks for asking whether you can use my letter!

Regard, BB,
Nocturne/Harriet
