Purpose In Life

Ok, so you are saved, you realize the reason youre here on this earth is to give and live for Christ.

What's next !

I know a farmer that writes great songs of praise. But he does not think they are great so he sings them to God and himself and that is all. No one else ever hears them.

I know a housewife who got saved and started working with the youth at her church. Story lines started to come to her and she wrote them down. But she won't try to have them published because they are childish kid stories and she is just a housewife without a P.H.D.

I know a car salesman who has a great voice. He sings in the choir but they are the only ones to ever hear his voice because he is too shy to sing a solo.

God gave us each talents. He wants us to use them for his glory. Have you read the parable of the talents?

Matthew 25:14-28

14. "For it will be as when a man going on a journey called his servants and entrusted to them his property;

15. to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability.

Then he went away.

16. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them;

and he made five talents more.

17. So also, he who had the two talents made two talents more.

18. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.

19. Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20. And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying,

'Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.'

21. His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little,

I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.'

22. And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me two talents;

here I have made two talents more.'

23. His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little,

I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.'

24. He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, 'Master,

I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where

you did not winnow;

25. so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.'

26. But his master answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant!

You knew that I reap where I have not sowed, and gather where I have not winnowed?

27. Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers,

and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.

28. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents. (RSV)

So many people today are afraid to use their gifts.

To step out in His glory, to sow where no one has sown before, to try something different even when everyone else says "We've never done it that way before".

I'm sorry, but my God is bigger then that, and he can do it anyway he wants to.

How dare we think we can tell Him what He can and can't do!

In Judges 6:15 Gideon said, "Oh Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Behold, my clan is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house. (AMP)

But God simply said, "I will be with you."

God has given us all we need, and he will be with us every step of the way.

If you know the gifts and talents God has given you. Get out there and use them.

If you don't know your gifts and talents, begin by praying for God to reveal them to you, and to give your life purpose. Purpose in Him.
