Here is one of my favorite Tang poems also
written by LiBai.

Don't you see the water of the Yellow River
come from the sky?
Pouring into the ocean and never return.
Don't you see in high chambers a
white-haired one sorrowing before the bright mirror?
Though silken-black in the morning, have
turned to snow-white in the evening.
Let us taste the old delights while we may,
And don't leave our golden casks
empty in the moonlight.
Gods have bestowed us genius , they will
finally find its use some day,
Even a thousand gold pieces have been
spent, they will come back again.
Cook a sheep , kill a cow , and carouse.
Truly you should drink three hundred cups
in a round.
To master Chin,
And Tan-chiu ,too.
To you I offer wine, never let your
cups rest.
I will sing a song for you ,
Lend an attentive ear to it please.
Little I prize bells , drums, rare dishes,
I wish I would be drunk forever and never
awaken.
Sages and saints have been left alone in
their solitude since the ancient days,
Only the drinkers are famous .
The King name Chen feasted in his
Palace of Peace and Pleasure in the old days,
Ten thousand measures for a cask of wine,
with laugh and quip,
Why say we have not the price?
Just go and buy wine , I will drink with
you .
My horse spotted with somethings like five
flowers,
My fur-coat worth a thousand pieces of
gold.
I will call my son to barter them for sweet
wine,
And with you twain, to forget the sorrow of
ten thousand ages!
