The population of Tajik nationality is about thirty-three thousand persons, most of them live in Xinjiang. They have their own language, at the same time , most of them know Uygur language and use Uygur writing language.
Tajik believe in Islam.
Most Tajik are engaged in animal husbandry, some of them are engaged agriculture.They have a lifestyle of moving about in search of pasture sometimes and in the other time settle down.
