The population of Hezhe nationality is about four thousand persons, most of them live in Heilongjiang province. They have their own language,but most of them use in Han , most Hezhe who are under forty years old don't know Hezhe language.
Hezhe used to believe in Shamanism, but now not many persons believe in it any longer.
All Hezhe are engaged in fishing and hunting, they are all good at hunting fish and enjoy eat raw fish. They also good at making clothes with the skin of fishes. These special clothes now become show in some museums.
