The population of Dulong nationality is about six thousand persons, most of them live in Yunnan province. They have their own language, some of them are good at Han language.
Dulong used to believe that all things on earth have soul, they worship nature and believe in ghosts.
Most Dulong are engaged in agriculture , collection, hunting and fishing.
Dulong live in Dulong River Valley which is frozen from Oct. to June next year, during this eight months, they can't go out and no one can come in to their regions where there are thousands of rare birds and animals as well as kind of precious medicinal materials.
All Dulong are very pure and honest, they need not lock the door while leave home, they treat one another as their family members, nice and unselfish.
Dulong are good at weaving blanket which is called "Dulong blanket", they proud of their blanket . All persons of Dulong, no matter men and women, drape Dulong blankets over them.( Just like the pictures on the top of this page.) Dulong females will take a little bamboo basket with them while out .
