Hi everyone, I've been a little run down the past few days, I think just the emotional drain of actually getting everything started finally got to me. Today I started calling around trying to find a psychiatrist...but there arent that many in my area that accept my insurance. I'm going to attend a local support group meeting soon to see if I can get the names of any others that I might not have called. I got a nice little email from my mom today about something she heard at church, I'd like to share it with everyone. To me it made me just 100% more sure that this is the right path for me.

Bonnie from Dr. Tenewitz's office just called me!! Set my first appointment to see Lisa that patient consultant (she also had WLS) After I see her they said they might be able to slip me in between patients with the doctor....If that happens all I will have to do is wait for a surgery date!!! I'm doin the happy dance big time now!!



	Maybe your life isn't much to brag about. Maybe you've seen raw evil and now you, like Josiah-2 Kings, have to make a choice. Do you rise above the past and make a difference? or do you remain controlled by the past and make excuses? Many choose the later. Many choose the convalescent homes of the heart, Healthy bodies, sharp minds but retired dreams. Back and forth they rock in the chair of regret, repeating the terms of surrender. Lean closely and you will hear them "if only". The white flag of the heart. "If only" If only I'd been born somewhere else. If only I'd been treated fairly. If only I'd had kinder parents, more money, greater opportunities. If only I'd been potty-trained sooner, spanked less, or taught to eat without slurping. Maybe you've used those words, maybe you have every right to use them. Perhaps you, like Josiah, were hearing the 10 count before entering the ring For you to find an ancestor worth imitating you have to flip way back in your family album. If such is the case, let me show you where to turn... pick up your bible, go to John's gospel and read Jesus words in John 3:6...."men can only produce human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven" Think about that- Spiritual life comes from the spirit! Your parent may have given you genes but God gives you grace! Your parents may be responsible for your body, but God has charge of your soul, You may get your looks from your mother, but you get eternity from your father-your heavenly father. God has not left you adrift on a sea of heredity just like Josiah, you cannot control the way your forefathers responded to God. But you can control the way you respond to him. The past does not have to be your prison. You have a voice in your destiny. You have a say in your life. You have a choice in the path you take. Choose well and someday generations from now your grandchildren and great grandchildren will thank God for the seeds you sowed. This is from a book by Max Lucado titled "when God whispers your name"
