My sister fell asleep and I remained awake. Around 1 am or so, I started to feel a presence in the room. It was a women. She was certainly my sis's Mother-in-Law. I could sense saying how she was going to be at the wedding and that she approved. I was told to tell her this but I felt that time wasn't appropriate. Come to think about it I haven't told her yet. My sister is a bit of a skeptic so I suppose I felt she may not believe me. That's all I know is that her Mother-in-Law's presence was very strong. She was very insistent. I never knew her but I sensed she had a good sense of humour. She also told me that she had visited her son before visiting us. She told me a few things he'd been thinking of about her and such. She left after ten or fifteen minutes. The energy of the spirit took time to disappear though. I fell asleep maybe an hour after that.
4. My sister also suspects that her Mother-in-Law was also trying to make herself known to the family one evening. During dinner at her (now) husbands Father's home (the same home lived in for years with the deceased Mother) everyone was sitting down with their two dogs nearby. Suddenly, a family picture which was framed and hanging in the stairway fell off the wall. On closer inspection, the picture was more like "taken" off the wall. The back wire which it hung on for years without incident had been broken. This was only 6 months after the death of the Mother-in-Law. My sister noted how strange it was that a picture which was sturdy would just fall off the wall without removing the nail that it hung on. It seemed that someone had taken it and removed it to be noticed during a quiet moment at dinner.
5. My sister had to put her cat down in late July-early-August (2003). We figured there might be some occurences in the household though. It only took a few weeks before both my sister and her husband heard bumping around noises upstairs just like when the cat used to play. The dog was downstairs with them and they both heard the noise at the same time. There not completely convinced it was the spirit of the cat making itself heard but it certainly wouldn't be uncommon if it had been.
January, 2004.

Hello All! I just wanted to share a small thing that happened this morning. I had gone back to sleep after having a bad dream at around 8 am or so. My boyfriend was in the livingroom watching a DVD with the dog before heading off to school and work. I remember that I was having another bad dream (!). I was woken up by a strange sound about an hour and a half later.  I did not recognize it at first but I knew it was right near me, localized in the room. Then I looked over on my left and remembered my african rain stick in the corner (look below if you are not sure what an
african rain stick is). It is standling in between a bookshelf and wall. I put it there for now since I have no where to hang it. I realized that it had been making noise by itself. I had woke up to hear the last five or six seconds of the " tinkling" noise. I got up slowly and turned the light on. I tested it. Yup, that was the sound I heard. But I found the rainstick in the same position. I played with it a little and realized it could not have been moved up and down (in order to make the noise) without hitting the wall. So, I surmised the stick was not moved but rather the individual peices inside were moved from inside the rainstick! Therefore, it didn't have to be physically moved. Instead the peices inside were pushed upwards by themeselves and I heard them falling in the opposite direction causing the familiar "tinkling" sound. I figure it's was either me (psychokinesis) or my spirit guide trying to wake me up from another upsettling dream. I guess I'll ask them in my next channeling session.

For Those Who Don't Know What An African Stick Is: My African Rain Stick is about 2 and a half feet long, it's made of wood and is decorative. It is tube shaped.  It was given to me by a friend for my last birthday. Supposedly, African's made these sticks to create the sound of rain during drought. Anyhow, there are nails (or something simliar) lining the inside. Also, a generous amount of rice or some other grain (or something) is placed inside. When one moves the stick up or down, it sounds similar to falling rain.
NEW! March 2004.

Hey Guys! I have three new things to share with you. Haven't updated 'til now because I've been busy...here goes :)

1. A month or so ago my Father had gone to bed early. My Mother was watching television in her livingroom upstairs and I was in my downstairs apartment. Suddenly a picture which was hanging on the wall in my Fathers bedroom hit the floor very loudly. It scared my Father awake and got me a little curious from downstairs. I thought maybe something more serious had occurred (it was quite loud). On closer inspection, the picture which is something like a foot and a half long and a foot wide (roughly) had seemingly been ripped off the wall. The nail was still in the wall but the hanger in the back of the frame had been ripped out! A force (perhaps telekinetic) ripped the picture off the wall and so it would account for the very loud crash to the floor. The glass on the picture however did not break.(?)  Only the nail hanger on the back was destroyed. There was no vibration that we could see and no outward reason. Also, this picture had been hanging without prior incident for at least half a year (since renovations to the bedroom). My parents and I wondered what this might mean. Was it simply a picture falling off the wall, eventhough it seemed very strange? Or was it an omen?(my family believes in those). Well, a day and a half later my parents dog got really sick. We had to bring her into the emergency dog hospital. The dog is fine now, but I thought perhaps that may have been a warning(??). I still don't know....hmmmm

2. Last week I was lying in bed. I had woken up and was very relaxed. I was debating whether I should get up to go the washroom (you know what it's like when your comfy in bed). My left leg was sort of hanging off the edge of the bed. My knee protruded out the most. Sometime during this I felt a very tactile tap on my knee, it tapped at least twice. It made me put my knee inside the bed again as I looked towards the side of the bed. I didn't see anything visually though. Obviously it wasn't my boyfriend because he was beside me (and he got up soon after to go to the washroom as well). I then figured it was my male spirit guide. I don't know really why he tapped me though. It wasn't a rough tap, but rather almost a "hello" tap.
