The Ten Phyla of Angels
The General Purpose of Each |

Please Note: The material in this section is a paraphrasing of the information found in Sylvia Browne's Book of Angels. I have total respect for Mrs. Browne's work, and I simply wish to use her wonderful book to better examine the subject of angels. |

|
|
#1. The Angels: These angels are at the bottom of the hierarchy. However, they are very powerful and equally loved by God. They simply have, like all angels, specified duties. Mainly they are assigned to the duty of protecting humans. They are found in countless witness accounts, where they have intervened in accidents, or other mishaps. They are said to have white wings with silver tips. Pray for these angels to be sent when you are afraid or need protection. |

#2. The Archangels: These angels are believed to be messengers and effective healers. Call on them to convey a message or to heal yourself or someone else. They are said to have white wings with blue tips. |
|
|
|
#3. The Cherubim: These angels are often thought of as chubby,
pink-cheeked babes. But it is believed, this was an artistic image that was adopted over time. They are supposed to be joyous singers who through music, worship the God/Goddess. They are said to have white wings with rose coloured tips. Humans have rarely seen them appear in this world. However, there are many experiences of hearing their music. It is said to be beautiful song, likened to a choir. |

#4. The Seraphim: These angels too, are joyous singers. Like the Cherubim, mostly they are heard, rather than seen. They are said to have white wings with rose tips (as well). |
|
|
|
#5. The Powers: These angels are healers as well. But they are stronger than The Angels (the lower type of angel). They are also supposed to be much physically larger. They are said to have white wings with greenish tips. |
|
|
|
#6. The Carrions: These angels have a very unique task. Out of all the types, they are the only ones to deal directly with the trafficing of dark souls. They trap the dark soul at the time of death, and bring them to a separate afterlife than all others. This afterlife is not a hell in the classic sense. However it is very lonely place, devoid of God's light or knowledge. These angels are said to have white wings with orange tips. |

#7. The Virtues: These angels help us review our life charts, just before we are to incarnate. They offer advice, and give us a larger perspective on the chart. They can also intervene on our charts. They are said to have solidly silver wings with blue tips. |
|
|
|
#8. The Dominions: These angels oversee all deeds, good and bad, in The Akashic Records. They help our guides with their questions and concerns. They are said to have white wings with maroon tips. |
|
|
|
#9. The Thrones: These angels are Mother God's personal army. She uses them to intervene for any number of reasons and purposes. They are extremely powerful and follow the Mother God everywhere. They are said to have purple-ish white wings. |
|
|
|
#10. The Principalities: These angels are Father God's army. He uses them for various, larger duties. They rarely leave the Father's side but they can project their power anywhere. |

More About Angels |

|
|
|
|
Angels surround us automatically. You do not need to be from a specific religion or any such thing, to get the privilage of their protection. Both believers and skeptics, have angels watching and protecting them (exception: dark souled people do not). So it would seem, most benefit from angelic work, without really being aware of it. Angels are very silently doing great works, and miracles. We do not know the greater good they do, or what events they have altered or stopped. It is not for us to know in this life. We must trust that they have our benefit in mind.
Unfortunately, angels cannot protect us from everything in life. Many negative things we see and experience, are previously charted by ourselves. We must remember it was our choice to incarnate. Mostly we are here to learn about negativity and evil, something that cannot be found in the afterlife. It is essential to our spiritual evolution, that we experience some unhappiness and suffering at times. We become better for this. When faced with eternity, the negativity we have experienced in earthly life is merely a blip, but the overall benefits are enormous. Angels would never stop us from this pivotel form of spiritual growth.
