6/23/04 The boys are one week old today! Aaron: IV was taken out overnight for good Maybe try bottle feeding tomorrow (6/24/04) Tried bassinet last night but couldn't maintain temp too well but will try again soon Up to 25ccs/feeding and still increasing Has now demonstrated how to get attention (loud cry) Mitchell: Bili went up, may go back on lights Mucus in one eye, and if it continues they may do a culture on Thursday IV may come out on Thursday Jake: Moved from NICU up to Special Care Nursery with his brothers last night First feeding was this morning Heart Murmur was heard last night but not since Docs say there is a good indication the vessel closed because he doesn't have any symptoms to indicate that it is still open.

6/24/04 Aaron: First bottle feeding was tonight with dad and he did great! Mitchell: May have lights put back on tomorrow because of increase in bili over the past few days There is still mucus in his eyes but probably won't do culture because his eyes don't seem to be red at all which may indicate infection but more than likely it is just a blocked tear duct. IV may come out on Friday Jake: Tolerating his feedings well, will continue to increase 2ccs per shift Nurse said he tends to wake up about 1/2 hour before his feedings which may mean he isn't getting enough to fill his tummy until the next feeding No murmur was heard on his heard since yesterday

6/25/04 Aaron: Now weighs 4lbs 1oz He has been in his bassinet since this morning and has maintained his temp for the last 4+ hours Bottle feeding is still going good May come home next weekend if things continue as they have Mitchell: His IV was taken out this morning for good They probably won't do a culture on his eye mucus because his eyes don't seem to be red and more than likely it is just a blocked tear duct Now weights 3lbs 6ozs Jake: Still increasing 2 ccs per shift Maintaining his status

7/1/04 Aaron: He was discharged from the hospital yesterday (6/30/04) after we stayed the night at the hospital for a "trial run." He weighed 4lbs 11oz when discharged. Mitchell: Mitchell is a little slower than the other two boys when it comes to figuring out the bottle. He is still pretty small. He still has the feeding tube that is used when he gets pooped out when eatting from his bottle the nurse will then put what he didn't eat into a syringe and feed it to him through the feeding tube which runs from his nose to his stomach. Once he can figure out eatting from a bottle for over 24 hours for his entire feedings he will then be able to join us at home. He weighs 3lbs 9oz Jake: Jake will be coming home tomorrow (7/2/04)!!!
