The cast of the first "Liberated" movie are back in Seiko Films’ "Liberated 2" but this new sexy flick helmed again by Mac Alejandre from the screenplay of Ricky Lee is not a sequel. It has a different story and its approach is different with regards to the sex scenes.

In "Liberated 2," Christian Vasquez plays Washington Ruiz, an athlete who excels in all his sports. But his father doesn’t approve his son’s passion for sports because he wants him to be a businessman like him. Francine Prieto, on the other hand, is Janelle and Diana Zubiri is Fatima, best friends who both are from dysfunctional families. Unlike regular girlfriends, both Janelle and Fatima like playing a sexual game wherein they pick a man and make love with him in separate occasions. Their goal is to compare who got the best out of it or even who was the more adventurous. And Christian Vasquez was one of their target men to conquer.

"I was their victim in the movie. Their goal was simple – to enjoy a one night stand with me. But there shouldn’t be a repeat, falling in love or even communications. Unfortunately for them my ideology about sex is the same with theirs so they both fell in love with me," said Christian.

Liberated 2" is the third time Christian has worked with Francine Prieto (first in "Bridal Shower" and then in "Liberated") and the second time with Diana Zubiri. And for him doing sexy movies is something he has become comfortable with. To prepare himself, he had to lose some weight to have more cuts in his physique. And he did that a week before they started filming. Every time they shot his bed scenes, he would remove rice from his diet to have a leaner look on screen.

It is actually Christian’s physique that landed him a six-movie in three year deal with Seiko Films. He is grateful for the opportunity and he hopes that the movies he make in the future will also help hone his acting skills. According to him, not everything is about sexiness in his films. For example with "Liberated 2," Christian admits to enjoying the humor in the film. Despite having more daring scenes than in the first "Liberated" movie, he said that the film is not entirely bold because there’s a lot of comic situations in it.

The sex scenes here are heightened though to make it more delectable to the moviegoers and to differentiate it from the first "Liberated." It is a lot more experimental in terms of how it was shot, the angles and the execution. Even Diana and Francine described some of their scenes to be acrobatic. But still humanly doable described their director. The director also stressed that despite the graphic love scenes, it isn’t tantamount to being pornographic. If there is anything that "Liberated 2" is close to, it is Seiko’s thrust to making sexy yet high quality movies, artful and not something "bastos" or bulgar.

"Liberated 2" was supposed to be an entry to the recently concluded Manila Film Festival but it did not meet the deadline. It was a good business decision since its director didn’t want to make money out of the sexy scenes only. He’d rather do a good film for the audience to enjoy.

Also in the cast in "Liberated 2" are Rodel Velayo in another gay role, Tuesday Vargas, Chanda Romero, Dexter Doria, Jimmy Fabregas, Ynez Veneracion, Winston Elizalde and Anita Linda.

Below Christian Vasquez talks more about the film and his life in general.

WS: How was the working relationship among you compared to the first ‘Liberated?’

CV: Ever since ‘Liberated 1’ we never had problems naman about undressing. We know what our job is all about. But we have a better working relationship now because we all became good friends after ‘Liberated.’

WS: Who do you think was the best kisser?

CV: It’s hard to compare because when you are kissing them, you just know you are doing it because it’s your job. You don’t really notice who is the best kisser. If you look at them, they are both lovely.

WS: How about in terms of sex appeal? Who between them is the most appealing?

CV: They both have different appeals. For instance Francine, when you look at her, she has a very strong personality. It’s like she will take over you and if you are her boyfriend, she will rule. Diana is different in a sense that she looks sweet. If you are in a relationship with her, she will be your baby. You have to guide her.

WS: As a man, which (sex) appeal would you prefer?

CV: The important thing is to have a balance. I don’t want woman who is always in control and a woman who is sunod-sunuran lang. She should be a balance of everything.

WS: How did you end up doing sexy films? You started with a wholesome image.

CV: Well, I think I based it on what I’ve been doing since the start. Like when I was still modeling, I always get underwear projects. And even in my TV roles, that is what they let me do. So probably as a beginner or as an aspiring actor, I needed a break. I needed to do a movie. Since I wasn’t a very good actor like the others, I had to get a role to match my personality. And I guess doing sexy roles matched my personality.

WS: So you are more confident in the sexy genre?

CV: Yes. Kapag nakahubad ako I’m really confident because I know I’m well equipped and built for these roles...

WS: Are you insulted if people just look at you as a sex symbol?

CV: You can’t be insulted because a lot of people don’t know who I really am. Besides it’s flattering to be considered a sex symbol. To my friends who know the real me, I don’t think it’s insulting if they only think of me as a sex symbol.

WS: How would you feel if what happened to you in ‘Liberated 2,’ happens in real life?

CV: As a man... that would be a good thing to happen (smiles).

WS: Did you ever find out if there were women competing to see who among them is the best in bed with you as their partner?

CV: So far wala pa. But if ever I do, okay lang. In any relationship, it all starts with physical attraction. You get something from me, I get something from them. It’s fair and square.

WS: Which for you is harder, to be a sexy actor or a dramatic actor?

CV: Physically speaking, it is harder to be a sexy actor because you have to be in the gym everyday. Like I don’t eat pork or beef and until now it has become my lifestyle. But drama is harder for me. I’m just lucky that our director Mac Alejandre is there to support and push me. Nahihirapan talaga ako sa acting. Sometimes I have a hard time delivering my lines which affects my acting. That’s my dilemma.

WS: Do you have a girlfriend now?

CV: Yes.

WS: Doesn’t she complain about your job?

CV: There’s no problem because from the start she knows it is just work. Maybe if I’ve done something bad in the past I’ll have a problem. But since the start I’ve been honest with her.

WS: With all the temptation around, how do you remain monogamous?

CV: Well, it is just my choice to be faithful...I know there’s a lot of temptation but what I do is I avoid them I don’t go out as often as I do.

WS: How do you keep away from intrigues; it seems that you don’t get linked with your co-stars?

CV: Once kasi it starts I always come out in the open to say that there’s nothing going on. I’m just straight about it.

WS: How about your kids, how do they react to your job?

CV: Well, my sons are in Bacolod and I’ve been separated for several years already. My ex-wife is living in the States already. I’m lucky that my sons have no problems with my job as long as I tell them what is going on okay lang sa kanila. They just don’t like the idea of me playing a bad guy role. And this is one role I have to explain to them that it’s just a role. (His sons are Matthew, 7, and Jason who is six years old.)

Christian Vasquez goes sexy in "Liberated"

Another young actor who's going bold and sexy is Christian Vasquez. He will be showing his behind in the Seiko Films movie "Liberated" which opens today.

Christian, who burst into the public consciousness when he appeared as the son who wanted to shift from Medicine to Fine Arts in the "Suportahan 'Ta Ka" commercial, says he was prepared for the image shift. It was something he and his family and friends were expecting to happen sooner or later.

"Parang doon na din kasi papunta, eh" says the 26-year-old actor/model. "Matagal ko na kasi napapansin na everytime I have pictorials, they'd ask me to remove my shirt, or try to look sexy. That's why I thought, it's better this way. It will be better for my career in the long run."

Starring Christian with Diana Zubiri, Rodel Velayo, Tuesday Vargas and Sensuality Queen Francine Prieto, "Liberated" is a film about life and sex from the point of view of five young adults. It is the story of their individual search for happiness; it is a story about choices and how these choices can change a person's life for better or for worse.

Although he is a newcomer to the movies and to sexy films in particular, Christian says he didn't have a problem shooting the intimate scenes. For one thing, it helped that before the shooting, Christian attended a sensuality workshop with his co-stars Diana, Francine and Rodel. In the workshop, they were asked to strip and act out some of the intimate scenes in the script. The purpose of the workshop was to help Christian and his co-stars lose their inhibitions prior to the start of filming.

Being a guy, says Christian, it couldn't be helped that during the workshop and the shooting itself he would get turned on and "rise to the occasion."

"That was my first concern. Of course, I'm a guy, natural tendency ko yon," says Christian. "But I didn't try to control myself too much, kasi sabi sa amin sa workshop, if we control our reactions too much, our acting won't look natural. So I just tried to focus on my acting."

Christian has a number of intimate love scenes with both leading ladies in the movie, as well as a butt exposure scene.

"Liberated" is directed by Mac Alejandre. The movie also stars Winston Elizalde and Reggie Curley.

'Suportahan ta ka' guy gets support

On the strength of a PLDT commercial, because of which he earned the monicker "Suportahan Ta Ka," model Christian Vazquez is now one of the most recognizable faces in the country. The commercial, about a supportive father and his son, has impressed Christian on the public consciousness.

One thing led to another and Christian Oliver Vazquez is now the newest member of the ABS CBN Talent Family Center.

For 22 years, Christian has lived in Bacolod City. He graduated from the local La Salle with a degree in Enterprise Economics.

He also trained to be a steward for Air Philippines but he backed out when he was assigned to the ticketing division, where he didn't see much challenge. He wanted to be on the plane.

Christian has done eight commercials so far. The PLDT commercial is expectedly his favorite because it focused on a father-and-son relationship.

"When I did that commercial, I thought of my father who has been supportive in everything I do," he says. "Strong family ties are important to my parents."

Thanks to "Suportahan Ta Ka," Christian is beginning to make a name in show business, specifically on television. He is introduced in the teleseries "Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan" where he plays an NBI agent named Matthew Monteclaro.

Although he says entering show business has never been part of his dreams, Christian sees his new career as an answer to his mom's prayer. His mother had been teasing him to give show business a try, saying his is a face that all mothers, as well as other people, would love.

"In our barkada, I am the clown," he says. "I never run out of jokes or stories to tell. I am also a frustrated singer."

He is set to attend acting workshops. As for his Ilonggo accent, he believes the longer he stays in Manila, the faster it will disappear.

A single parent, Christian says he will think a hundred times before going into a new relationship.

"When you're young, you think love is the only thing that matters. You even justify your foolish moves as being in the name of love. I am definitely wiser, mature and a responsible person now."

We're Hot for Christian Vazquez

By Ianne Sison  |  If there's any woman's magazine this Bacolod babe considers home, it's Cosmo. Christian's Atta Girl schedule and shoots for ads and mags make him seek refuge from his fan-mobbed world at the Cosmo cubicle where he's an honorary Cosmo boy (by invitation only). We've shot him before, but his all-natural sexiness and the ease with which he can talk about what he's like in the bedroom made us want to do it again.

Massaging her inner thighs in bed.
  • If you were to use only one body part for foreplay, which would it be?
My lips. Napakasensual kasi ng lips. You can kiss and nibble any part of the body with them.
  • Why are you a good lover?
Because my foreplay lasts for 30 minutes and I move like the waves; I move like car pistons and I savor each and every part of the woman's body.
  • How long is it?
Long enough to make you scream for your mama.
  • What is the sexiest thing about a woman?
    The form of her breasts.
  • How long does sex with you last from foreplay to orgasm?
Depende kung how long makastay sa bahay yung babae.
  • What is your trademark move in bed?
I have a lot but one of my favorites is having the woman lie down with her knees bent and the soles of her feet pressed onto my chest. And then I press my hands on her abdomen to make it more pleasurable for the both of us.

WHO WOULDN'T GLADLY SUPPORT THIS CUTIE'S CAREER?

Christian Vazquez

by Therese Reyes
http://www.teenmag.com.ph/guyspeak/index.html

"Dad mag shift na ko Fine Arts?" These are the memorable lines that catapulted Christian Vasquez into stardom. You know him, the guy in the PLDT campaign, the one with the piercing eyes and the extreme sensitivity. Now a TV mainstay in the shows AttaGirl and Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, Christian is on his way to becoming a full-pledged artista. Those who know him from his modeling days reckon it was just a matter of time before this 24-year-old economics major from Bacolod hit the big time. With his exquisite mestizo features and that hunky built, Christian is surely destined for national celebrity. He is a star in his own right in the modeling world, having graced numerous commercials and fashion shows. TEEN caught up with him one afternoon in between a busy schedule of rehearsals and tapings.
  • JUST FOR THE RECORD, HOW DID YOU GET INTO MODELING?
It's a long story, but, anyway, to cut it short, I met Raymond Lontok, the owner of Metropolis (model agency). He basically introduced me to the world of modeling and commercials. I met him during Fashion Watch, which was my first fashion show here in Manila.
  • WAS IT YOUR DREAM TO BECOME A MODEL OR SOMEONE FAMOUS?
When I was still in Bacolod, I started doing ramp, too. My dream was just to do one ramp show in Manila. I sort of wanted to try out modeling but I felt it was impossible.
  • IMPOSSIBLE? THAT'S A BIT HARD TO BELIEVE?
It's probably because of my personality... I'm not the type who would stay in front of the mirror trying to fix up myself. I mean, when I was in college before I used to go to school wearing plain T-shirts and tattered jeans. I wasn't particular with the way I looked.
  • HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MODELING?
I started modeling September, 1999, but only for three months. I was 22 then. I went back to Bacolod and stayed there for eight months. I didn't do any modeling stints. I was doing nothing. The next year I came back, Raymond was so persistent and patient enough to ask me if I wanted to continue my modeling. But during that time I was thinking if I still want to do it or not because, really, I wasn't sure if modeling was right for me.
  • HOW COME?
In the beginning I wasn't getting any projects and I was always rejected.
  • NOW WE'RE SURE YOU THOROUGHLY ENJOY MODELING?
I've been modeling for more than a year, and it's really fun. I get to meet a lot of new friends and learn new things, things I never expected I can do.
  • WHAT SORT OF THINGS?
Like acting, ha ha ha! Well, I became more sociable and friendly. Back in Bacolod, I was a very private person. Oh, one thing more, I learned how to save my money.
  • SO YOU'RE SAYING THE JOB IS FINANCIALLY REWARDING?
With my lifestyle it's really rewarding because I'm just living a very simple lifestyle. I even share with my friends from Bacolod. We don't even have a sofa and table.
  • WE'RE SURE BEING A MODEL HAS MANY PERKS AND ADVANTAGES.
Well, I like the working hours. It's not like I have to work eight hours every day. It's a very "lenient" job. In a day's work I can earn a whole month's salary. I get to be interviewed. But meeting new friends is the best part of it.
  • WHAT ABOUT THE DOWNSIDE TO IT?
People are hesitant to approach you, because they think you're mayabang, which is not true, in my case. One thing I hate is that people label us as bobo. They think we are all dumb. Which is not true at all.
  • HOW DO YOU DO MAINTAIN YOUR LOOKS AND BUILT?
I work out. I go to the gym. Back in college I also enjoyed swimming and mountain climbing.
  • WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE MODELS HERE AND ABROAD?
Female models, Laetitia Casta and Giselle Bundchen. Male, I like Antonio Sabato Jr. Locally, there are lots.
  • SINCE PLDT, YOU'VE BECOME MORE RECOGNIZABLE. HOW ARE YOU COPING WITH YOUR GREATER POPULARITY?
It's funny. Like, people call me, "Oh, that's the guy from Suportahan Ta Ka!" It's a nice feeling, like people say the commercial has heart, and to be identified with that, it's really great.
  • SO YOU'RE ENJOYING YOUR POPULARITY?
The feeling is nice, but I'm just not used to the attention. I don't know how to react.
  • IN WHAT WAY ARE YOU SIMILAR TO THE CHARACTER YOU PLAY IN THE COMMERCIAL?
I'm really close to my parents and my family now. I used to be a very quiet person, I never opened up to them before. But as I got older, I learned how to reach out to them.
  • IS ACTING YOUR NEW FOCUS?
I love what I'm doing right now. I want to be both a model and actor if I can.
  • DO YOU THINK YOU ACHIEVED SUCCESS IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME?
I don't think it was that fast. (The pace) is just right. It's not like I had it easy. It was really hard. There was even a time when I had only five pesos in my pocket. I actually had to struggle to get to where I am right now. I had to be financially independent and not rely on my folks back home. I was alone. I wasn't making money from jobs. And like what I said before, in the beginning I always got rejected for castings. It was really frustrating. So I decided to go home to Bacolod.
  • WHAT KEPT YOU GOING?
Raymond Lontok actually helped me realize I had the potential. He even gave me a ticket to go back to Manila and try modeling one more time, and because of that, I believed in myself. I realized it wasn't a one-shot deal. I had to work hard and keep on trying. It's all about believing in yourself.
  • SO WHAT'S YOUR MOTIVATION NOW?
Of course, I can't deny it's money. Second, I'm really interested in what I'm doing. It's fun.
  • WHAT HAS MODELING TAUGHT YOU?
I learned to save my money. I learned to be independent. I do everything on my own.
  • WHAT'S YOUR ADVICE TO ASPIRING MODELS?
You know what? A lot of my friends who are just starting out are complaining they don't get as much attention as they want. They have to be patient. Work hard. If you go to a casting and get rejected 10 times don't be discouraged. And don't ever think it's all about fame because there's more to it than becoming famous.
  • WHAT ARE THE KIND OF QUESTIONS THAT YOU FEAR?
There's no question that I fear.
  • SO, IS CHRISTIAN SEEING ANYONE?
Nope. I'm single. But there's someone I really like.
  • WHAT DO YOU NOTICE FIRST IN A GIRL?
Um, it's the character. Well, of course, you first see the physical features. But the next thing is the character. I want her to speak her mind. I want her to be stronger than me. I want someone who is very responsible and, most important, someone I can trust.
  • DO YOU BELIEVE IN FLINGS OR ARE YOU THE SERIOUS TYPE?
I had relationships before and I had flings, but I think now, with what's going on, I prefer to stay with just one girl. I mean, now I'm busy, and if I have a girlfriend I want to give her all the time I can give.
  • WHO IS YOUR DREAM GIRL, LOOKS-WISE?
    Claire Forlani is pretty.
  • WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
My schedule is really hectic since I started TV so when I have free time I just stay at home and rest. Before I used to go to the malls and watch movies but now, wala na. But when I have time I also go to the gym. I draw and I read poetry.
  • WHAT ARE YOU READING NOW?
It's a book called If Life Is A Game These Are The Rules.
  • WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?
Last of the Mohicans. That's my favorite movie. It's really nice. I believe that I'm a reincarnated Mohican (laughs).
  • WHAT MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
I listen to all kinds but my favorite are ballads.
  • WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS OR SINGERS?
I like Martin Nievera, Agot Isidro and Side A. I like a lot of Filipino artists. I also like listening to The Corrs.
  • WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
That I'm friendly and I'm not suplado. People think I'm intimidating kasi.
  • WHAT KEEPS YOU GROUNDED?
    My family. They're really supportive.
  • HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF 10 YEARS FROM NOW?
I see myself married, probably with three kids. I'll probably play the dad in the PLDT commercial.

An honest Christian

Christian Vasquez, the guy who became famous for that "Suportahan Ta Ka" PLDT commercial, now endorses Baleno underwear and he will soon be seen on billboards in one of the underwear's many variants.

Does that mean he is ready to do bold roles in the movies?

"I'm not sure I'm ready na for such roles. After all, I'm not even sure I'm already good enough as an actor. Besides, I don't know how my two young sons would take it if they get to know that their dad is being very intimate with a woman they've never seen in their young lives," unhesitatingly answered the still very honest Christian.

Yes, the guy has always been honest about his civil status. Although he's only 24 now, he got married about five years ago in Bacolod City and got separated after having two kids with his young wife. He admitted that to a handful of press people who were invited to a chat with him just a few months ago, when ABS-CBN 2's Talent Center signed him up and cast him in the now defunct sitcom Attagirl.

Our second huddle with him was right after the well-attended "peep show" in which he and about 10 other well-bodied young men displayed themselves in various styles of Baleno underwear behind the giant glass windows on the second floor of the new ABS-CBN building. It was an ecstatic (erotic?) neck-straining experience for the audience of mostly male gays even as we were all thankfully given binoculars to use to "peep" at the models behind the huge glass windows.

Actually, Christian himself appeared only once,in the finale, wearing a black-and-white underwear.

The guy must really be very conservative because he saw to it that he didn't get to model the t-back style that had the buns in full view. The other models not one of whom was somehow famousb briefly showed their well-shaped buns.

"But I've also showed my naked buttocks in previous modeling shows. Hindi pa naman kasi ako kilala nu'n, at hindi naman nara-write up yung mga show na yon. The last time I modeled underwear was for another brand and the show was done at the Manila Hotel. Pero wala silang t-back style, kaya nobody showed his buns there," revealed Christian.

Going back to his two sons, he further reveals: "My kids had just been here in Manila with me. They had to go home na to start preparing for school. Marunong na silang magselos at magtanong pag may nakikita silang kasama kong babae like when I still had Attagirl kung saan panay seksi at magagandang babae yung mga kasama ko (namely, Jessa Zaragoza, Vanessa del Bianco, Andrea del Rosario, and Michelle Bayle). Their grandparents, my parents, of course had to explain to them na kunwa-kunwarian lang yung pagyakap ko o pag-kiss sa kung kanino mang babae du'n sa show.

"I wish my kids could stay here with me in my apartment in Paranaque. But I can't afford to send them to school here yet and I can't afford to have a driver and a yaya for them here. Kaya du'n na muna sila sa Bacolod, sa parents ko."

Christian further admits he has a steady girlfriend, a fellow ramp model, for about a year now. "Nakilala na n'ya ang mga anak ko at okey naman siya sa kanila. Understanding naman ang girlfriend ko dahil I never hide naman anything from her. And, no, we're not living-in nor have we begun to talk about marriage. I'm still legally married to my wife na nasa US na at hindi gaanong nakikipag-communicate sa akin, kaya hindi ko alam kung ano ang mga balak n'ya sa buhay n'ya.

"Since wala pa naman akong balak na mag-asawa uli, hinahayaan ko na lang muna na hindi kami divorced o annulled."

Christian still has Ilonggo accent when he speaks Filipino, and this must be the reason why he couldn't get cast in major roles in the movies yet. In fact, he has appeared only in one movie, Pagdating ng Panahon, starring Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla.

"I've also finished Nine Mornings for Star Cinema, but I don't know when the movie will be shown saka maikli lang naman ang role ko ru'n," casually informed Christian, which means he really is not complaining about anything.

Christian seems to have been earning well from his ramp modeling and other assignments Talent Center is able to get for him. "May sarili na akong apartment sa Paranaque, may kotse na ako na hindi naman expensive, at kumpleto naman yung basic appliances sa apartment ko. Saka may isa akong maid," humbly informed the guy.

Oh, yes, his Baleno endorsement stint will not involve a TV commercial only print, billboards, and "peep shows."

But for those who would like to see him on TV, the guy is a mainstay in ABS-CBN 2's new Thursday night sitcom, Okay, Fine Whatever which headlines Aga Muhlach, Bayani Agbayani, Rica Peralejo, and Gloria Romero.

Christian Vazquez

By now, you probably know the following things about PLDT-NDD's Christian Vazquez. That's he a true-blue Ilonggo. That he's appeared in more than a dozen TV commercials and print ads for various products in just one year. That he's the latest addition to ABS-CBN's pool and appears in the drama series "Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan" and the sitcom "Attagirl." And that his first big-screen appearance in Pagdating ng Panahon puts him in the circle of Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla no less.

But you probably didn't know that the man behind the now-famous face and diction is a holder of an Enterprise Economics degree and is a poet at heart.

And until you saw him on TV announcing so, you probably weren't aware that he has two sons, Matthew, 4, and Jason, 3, that the boys live with his parents in Bacolod, and that he is separated from their mother.

Why the announcement?

"Hindi ko kasi makaya na nagiging successful ako unti-unti tapos parang hindi sila kasali, samantalang para sa kanila naman itong pinaghihirapan ko. Sila ang family ko. In the end, sila pa rin ang kasama ko, hindi ba? Sabi din naman kasi ng parents ko, kapag may isang bagay na hindi gusto, 'wag itago, kailangang sabihin. Paano mo malalaman na masakit ang tiyan kung hindi magsasabi, hindi ba?"
