Linkin Park used to be called Superxzero then Hybrid Theory but due to rights of other bands with the same names, they had to change their name. The members in the band were Mike Shinoda (Vocals), Brad Delson (Guitar), Joe Hahn (DJ Sampler),Rob Bourdon (Drums).That was the band an they were auditioning for a lead singer, the auditions went through and ' In The End ' they chose a talented singer with excellent hang time on his vocals by the name of Chester Bennington.They had their eye on him most.He was from Arizona and couldnt speak English but they noticed he had a talent in singing that few people had.Chester had bein singing from when he was just two years old and he was recording records at sixteen.Linkin Park who were called Hybrid Theory at that time, recorded some tracks with him.Chesters loud hang on vocals clicked immediately with Mikes quick streaming vocals and they decided to sign Chester Bennington up as their new lead singer.
The band was complete however they did not have an actual bass player.Linkin Park were having to hire out bass players for their show's,after a while Phoenix Farrel,a former bass player of Superxzero joined Linkin Park to complete the band!
When Linkin Park first began their major show's they had to do shows with the like's of Papa Roach and Deftones to help rise their popularity. They no longer need to tour with other bands to raise popularity because now they have risen to be a top well known band of the 20th century!
They had to think of a new name for their band and they decided to rename themselves ' Linkin Park '.They were like a band who were reborn with more talent,confidence and a kick ass first impression!They went to the recording studios and recorded around 15 tracks before debuting on the 24th of October with their new album ' Hybrid Theory '.
Their album is about letting out and showing things that happen in real life not only physically but in the mind.Tracks like their debut single ' One Step Closer ' and their second hit single ' Crawlin ' show this..Linkin Park have now grown to be one of the most popular rock/hip-hop band' toady.A lot of Linkin Park's fan's like Linkin Park not just because their are a top band,but a lot of people can relate to their lyric's.The word's they use in their songs fit unbelievably well and reveal so much emotion.Their album 'Hybrid Theory' has now reached Triple Platinum and has risen to No.7 in the Top Album's Chart! Expect more success and new height'sto come from Linkin Park in the very near future.... |
