Prayer For Genealogists

Lord, help me dig into the past And sift the sands of time
That I might find the roots that made This family tree of mine.
Lord, help me trace the ancient roads On which my fathers trod
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.
Lord, help me find an ancient book or manuscript
That's safely hidden now away In some forgotten crypt.
Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts My soul when I can't find
The missing link between some name That ends the same as mine.

Most Wanted List

I am currently looking for info on the following persons/families. If you have any info regarding same, please contact me at [email protected].

Anna Schwetje Teller: Anna was my great-grandmother. She was born in 1877 or 1878 and died in 1940. She married Williston Teller and they lived in both Englewood, NJ and Otselic, NY. I am looking for info on Anna (pre-marriage) or on any of the Schwetje family. Anna possibly had a brother by the name of John Schwetje, and a half sister by the name of Emma Meyer (sp?) Nutzhorn. Their mother's name may have been Wilhelmina.

Sybil (also Sibyl) Pease: We have reason to believe that Sybil married Daniel Teller from NY. She and Daniel had 2 children, James (b. 1831, Cayuga County, NY, d. late 1800s) and Urban (b. 1834, Otselic, Chenango County, NY, d. 1917).

Sally Bleecker: I have no dates on her, but she possibly married James Teller. Their son was Daniel (see info on Sybil Pease, above).

James & Johanna Cantwell: James born 1835, Ireland; Johanna born 1849, Ireland. Marriage/death dates unknown. James and Johanna had at least three children (possibly more): Alice, born 1874 (NJ); Maggie, born 1876 (NJ); and Johanna, born 1879 (NJ). There may have been other children by the names of Sarah, William and Mary. James and Johanna immigrated to the City of Englewood, Bergen County, NJ from Ireland and raised their family there.
