We purchased our Ghia in February of 2000, after chasing down a lead from a classified ad on the web. After looking at some very rusty ghia�s that we could not afford to restore (including the one with a yield sign inserted as a floor pan) we found this ghia. The ghia is model year 1973 coupe with a production date of September 1972. We are the third owner of this car. The owners have all been from central Alabama and the original 1973 license plate was attached when we picked up the car. It has been restored by the previous owner in Clanton, AL. The striking yellow paint job is the original color, which surprisingly closely matches one of the new bug�s models. The car is not perfect and should give us a lot of enjoyment tinkering around with it. |
