They all stopped eating, and Killian quickly looked at Shenya � the same, unspoken thought entered their mind. Killian pushed the chair back from the table, set his napkin to the side of his plate, and replied �I will check on him.�

Not surprisingly, Teemto was not there in his room. In fact, it was completely empty of Teemto�s effects, although it had been nicely arranged and orderly. Killian reported the news to the others, and the group immediately started out to look for Teemto (but not before Duh had polished off his third plate of potatoes).

Sanders mentioned to the group �well, I thought that I did see someone at the chapel of St. Cuthbert early this morning, before the dawn, but I was not sure who it was. I sort of just figured that it was Arris.�

Arris quickly replied that it was not he, but that he too had seen the same person. They quickly headed out, and were met by Brother Hennet, one of the cleric pages at the chapel. �We are looking for a man, kind of crazy looking, with miskept hair. He would have most likely been here sometime this morning, and would have looked rather haggard.� Killian description was right on, and Brother Hennet told them to wait while he went to get Father Cedric Quezada.

They met with Father Cedric, and it was quickly determined that the man that both Arris and Sanders had seen earlier in the morning was in fact the same persons � Teemto. Father Cedric explained that he was disheveled and out of sorts, as though he had just experienced a horrendous nightmare, and began asking very strange questions.

�What did he ask?� inquired Killian.

�Well, first he asked, �Were the miners safely buried?� I assured him that they were, and that we were very diligent in our care. He seemed satisfied, and then asked �How does a cleric exert his power over the undead?� Well, that question seemed a little unsettling at first, but I explained to him that clerics receive their strength directly from their deity, using the focused power of their holy symbol to channel their god�s power to keep the undead at bay. Again, he appeared satisfied. But then his face turned sour, and his final question disturbed even me. �Is there life after death?� Wow � what a wake up call. I began to tell him of the virtues of St. Cuthbert and how he cared for all of his worshippers. Your friend only walked away with a sigh of disgust. He left as abruptly as he arrived, and I thought nothing more of it.�
