| The tunnel that brought them farther soon opened up into a larger cavern. The ceiling reached a height of nearly 40 feet, and the room opened up to a dimension that would be expected of an area that had been hewn out for mining operations. At the far end of the room, another passage led even farther into the mine. Stalactites and stalagmites littered the ceiling and floor in an uneven pattern. Teemto quickly looked into the room, peering over Shenyas shoulder as she knelt down to tie the lace to her boot. Common sense took over, and Teemto decided that something simple would be most fitting. Dancing lights would be perfect in this dark room, he said, as the spell casually and easily flowed from his lips.
The translucent figure generated by the spell began to slowly drift into the room. Without hesitation, four crossbow bolts flew at the ghostly image, flying right through the light of the spell. Quickly, the barking, draconic sounds of kobolds littered the room, as they screamed in terror at the harmless apparition. Killian and Shenya, both knowledgeable of the draconic language, could faintly overhear the commanding sounds of a kobold that appeared to be in charge of the group, attempting to regain order. Shenya peeked into the room to assess both the overall shape of the room, as well as the potential threat from the barking creatures. Shenya conveyed to the others that the room appeared to have a ledge along the same wall as where they entered. Teemto, having control over the flight path of the dancing image, willed the vision to that ledge. The kobolds continued to attempt to shoot at the visage, all the while oblivious to the newcomers in the room. Hey, did you bring the grappling hooks, Killian? I have an idea, asked Shenya. Quickly handing them to Shenya, Killian smiled, remembering her antics from previous years. Shenya, with two grappling hooks hanging on her belt, began to shimmy up the wall. Due to its roughly hewn nature, it was no problem. As she reached the top of the wall that opened up onto the ledge, she realized that it was actually a room. She quickly found a place on the floor of the ledge to lock in both grappling hooks, and slid down one of the ropes back onto the cavern floor. It looks like there are probably about 7 or 8 of them, and one other kobold who is attempting to keep them under control. Teemto, nice spell they are thoroughly scared and equally confused. As significant fighters and the main warriors of the group, Duh and Killian knew what they needed to do. With each of them grabbing a rope, they both proceeded to climb up the wall to get into the room. While the kobolds did not expect company, they also did not expect a very large half-orc to fall flat on his face as he tried to get to the top. His sudden appearance caught everyone by surprise, and both Shenya and Teemto cringed in fear as to what might happen.
