| FORGOTTEN LEGENDS - Episode I - The Plague | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Killian, the strong paladin of St. Cuthbert from the north, had arrived in the common room of the local inn just as the crowd was beginning to form. He announced to all that he was in search of a rescue party to find miners lost in the mines of Duvik Pass. What he actually found was a clean slap to the face by a long-lost associate.
Shenya recognized his voice the moment he uttered his first word. Telling her twin brother Arris to hold back, she boldly approached Killian, and wound up with her hand before she reached him you son of a bitch she exclaimed. You knew about the burning, and you never told us. You never came looking for us! She was livid. Killian later explained that the last half of the past year, he had been searching far and wide for Shenya and Arris, but due to circumstances in which he was not aware of, the twins remained out of the public eye for very important reasons. They quickly resolved their differences and commiserated about old times over a glass of wine and some homemade shepherds pie. Shenya and Arris decided that they would join Killian just as they had some 15 years prior. On their way to Duviks Pass, just east of the Kron Hills in the Duchy of Verbobonc, they stumbled upon a body. At first they thought he was dead, but they saw his chest move. Attempting to revive him, he quickly bolted upright, and began to cast a spell of immense power. But nothing happened. So he tried another spell of even greater power. Again, nothing happened. At last, he gave up, and was quickly lifted to his feet by the trio. The man introduced himself as Teemto, a great sorcerer. The only problem was, he had no recollection of where he was, and how he had gotten there. He had only some ragged clothes on his back, and a small, purple gem in his hand. He quickly placed the gem in his pocket, and proceeded to join the rescue party on their way to Duviks Pass, occasionally reminding the others that he is the greatest sorcerer in the world. He received only a pat on the back and odd looks from his companions. Sure you are, they said, with only a slight hint of sarcasm. Most of it was pity.
