Thanks for the note Maureen... The Thalidomide works in conjunction with Temodar and the anti-nausea aspect is a perk. The well in the barn is now pumped to the house and the holding tanks are in. The finishing touches are next... Chris

Hey Chris Glad to see the progress on the farmhouse and the amazing fall colors. North Carolina is blandly green, but we did have a gorgeous sunny weekend this last. It is grea that you are doing so well on this treatment regimen. Thalidomide...os that just for nausea, or are they using it as a chemotoxin? I adopted a new pig last week. She is deaf and esasily startled, but no major wars with the older family members. She is fun. Haas been a sanctuary pig for 10 years, so is just now learning to not always be on the defensive as was necesary in a herd. I hope the farmhouse gets significantly warmer soon. Hello to Karen and Morgan. Maureen

Stephanie--ICU nurse - Friday, September 2nd, 2005 7:14 PM CDT
Hi Chris, I'm doing some "moonlighting" through a nursing agency, and met your sister, Mary at NMMC. When I told her that I worked at Unity ICU, she said that I must know her brother....Chris. Indeed, I do. I hope that you're doing well, and that you're enjoying the farm. Stephanie

I'm hoping for the best for you. It looks like you've built a really nice place in the woods for yourself. Stay positive! You can beat this.

I'm sorry to hear of your melanoma. I can understand what you are going through. When my Dad was diagnosed, I felt very angry. But, then I realized God has a path for everyone. It may not be the one we would have chosen, but we must follow it. My Dad also did trials in medicine. He knew his fate, yet he wanted to help others. I've thought of you and prayed that you will beat this. I think of you every day and pray that God will give you a pardon. Your time has not come! Thinking of you, Greg

Just a quick Hi from work. Are you going to visit soon? How is the NOT smoking going? Ginger and I are fine. Hi to Karen.

mary - Sunday, January 16th, 2005 9:20 AM CST
Greetings from the frozen tumdra of Cold Spring. Since I am off line at the moment, Matt took the computer that was on line to his new place, I thought I would take advantage of the computer in the den. I upgraded my computer with windows XP this week (Matt did)and am waiting to get on line and see if I can use it efficiently. Congrats on the not smoking. I knew you could do it, that is if Karen is still alive :) Hope you are staying warm and getting lots of wood cut.

Cleaning things up to keep it current... Anyone downloaded or listened to the new recordings? It's still tough to fight the cravings but I haven't had a cigarette in a long time...

OOOOPS! O.K the big countdown is FINALLY coming to an end. I remember when the saying used to be "All I want to own is what I can put in my car and drive to another city." Doesn't getting OLD have some way of collecting more crap then you EVER thought you would have? Oh yeah, With the quitting smoking thing? WE only want to hear happy thoughts and exciting news you made it through another day and that Karen is still alive, since she is the one who will have to put up with you. OOOh, I can't wait to pick on you in person. You know I love ya !!

Brian - Sunday, December 12th, 2004 1:26 PM CST
Hi Chris: Thanks for putting the guestbook on each page... great idea! ;-) I'm no so sure that the 18th is going to work for brunch. Judy's paper is NOT coming along as originally planned and the need to prep for the party on the night of the 18th will be pressing on that day. We will be back from NE on the night of the 5th, and school doesn;t ramp up again until the 18th (+/-) so maybe we could head out and see your new garage... and the prototype of the foldome (BTW: I like foldodome or fo-lo-dome better as a name, it rolls of the tounge better! :-P But don't even THINK of using those names as I have intellectual property rights (and the web URL's!!) for ALL these names now! Ahhh, law. Another way for the man to git at us! Enjoy the 80 degree days as you ain't seeing that around here until sometime next JUNE! -BMC
