The
overnight trip to the Twin Cities went quickly and all the "to do's" got done. Karen was
able to snap a good picture of Mary, Dad and Harley relaxing on the
couch... Mary had a full house with our Mom, Dad, Harley(their
dog), Karen and myself spending Thursday night at her place. The MRI of my head was a quicker test than I remembered the last one being. I got the scoop on what's going on before I went in for the biopsy. The doctor who reviewed the data did NOT see anything that indicated metastasis to my head. (whew...) The biopsy was delayed about a half an hour and went well. The sugeon commented that the center of the tumor was the consistancy of syrup. I'm not sure what that means. He had to cut a little more to get enough tissue to analyze. Now the wait is for the pathologist to determine what it is. |

Much Rain... |
When
we got home Friday night we discovered over a foot of water standing in
our basement. It was quite the bummer. The bricks that the
furnace sits on are about 3 inches off the floor. Once we get the
water pumped out, and let things dry up for a day, we'll find out if
our furnace will still work. In the mean time I went out and bought the things needed to install sub-pump. I'll be starting that project TOMORROW! I'm glad I have a pump that is working to get the water out of the basement as I write this. Hopefully, the basement will be dry enough tomorrow to install the sub-pump I bought today. There was still about an inch and a half of water still in the basement when I came here to the cabin to do some things... |
