Training
Training takes place on wednesday nights (6.45pm) and on sunday
mornings (10.15am). Here's the schedule:


Fitness Work
- Jogging : 3 laps of the Rec
- Warm-up exercises/stretching (10 mins)
- '30-20-10s' : 30 sit-ups followed by 30 press-ups, 20 sit-ups
   followed by 20 press-ups, 10 sit-ups.....(a killer first thing
   on a sunday morning!).
-  Running/Sprinting round cones (30 mins)


Skills-Related Training
- Dribbling round markers
- Passing work (Forming circle/running into middle/
   controlling ball/passing it on/running back to original
   position)
- Closing-down work (As a forward, this is my job - chasing
   long balls/closing down defenders/winning back possession)
- Heading (Corner and set-piece work)
- Tackling (Winning ball from 3 players in confined area)
- Shooting (The best bit - receiving the ball either to left or right/
   controlling it/spinning off defender/blasting the ball past the
   helpless keeper/GOALLLLL.......well thats the theory anyway).
