East Norwalk, Conn.  Founded in 1640, Norwalk is right on the shores of beautiful Long Island Sound. Our favorite streets look like this, 19th century houses, neat and trim. This is East Avenue along the mill pond.  Scroll down.
East Norwalk boasts a fishing fleet that brings in the Sound's delicious Blue Point Oysters. We could slurp dozens off  the halfshell, a dab of hot sauce--but only a dab.

((NEWS FLASH: As of Spring 2005, the buildings in this photo are no longer.
Demolished for Progress.))
