City Center Foursquare Church exists for the purpose of "bearing witness"
that Jesus is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)
We are empowered by the Holy Spirit not only to bear witness, but to bear witness effectively.
(Acts 1:8)
We are convinced that we can and must impact our culture, or any culture that the Holy Spirit brings us into contact with, proclaiming the power of the cross of Jesus and the sure hope of His resurrection.
A Purpose to bear witness of Jesus.
A Philosophy in the spirit of God's servant Samuel.
Ministry - Building the Church; Shaping the Community; Touching Nations.
With heart-felt purpose, our ministry philosophy is rooted in the leadership principles of God's faithful servant Samuel. He was empowered to build God's people, shape his community, and touch nations. He bore witness of a God who both rules and saves.
Building the Church:
Samuel's faithfulness to God brought a divine presence, and Israel denounced its idolatry.
(1 Samuel 7:3-6, 13)
Shaping the Community:
Samuel's heart for the community is revealed as he watched the Spirit at work. He then stepped up and gave godly direction. His heart was to help people love their God and know His deliverance.
(1 Samuel 7:2-3)
Touching Nations:
By the hand of God, Samuel influenced human history and geographical powers.
(1Samuel 7:7, 10-14)
