| Overlooking Long Island Sound from the highest point in Rye Town Park is the site chosen for this dramatic public space. The garden was carefully desined to take full advantage of it's unique site. The patio is surrounded with a rainbow of summer flowering shrubs and perennials that are tolerant to salt spray and harsh winds. Two teak benches with carved detailing are angled for the best views. Planted behind each bench are Stewartia koreana with their distinctive multi color exfoliating bark and graceful flowers hanging overhead. The garden is full of medium height flowering plants that frame views of the Sound. |
