2sm east of Kolliker town several people
report emerged submarine. Maybe “Orzel”
O.d.Ost orders the 2.S.-Flottille to hunt for the boat.
After the polish troops on Hela did not react
on the german proposal attacks started again at 17:00.
Seelage West
French submarines “Agosta” and “Quessant”
arrive in Martinique.
The german steamer “Chemnitz” is
seized by the french submarine “Poncelet” west of the Azoren.
First german operation against merchant ships
completed like planed. 45 steamers were stopped and searched. 4 steamers were
seized.
In the morning britsh bombers in two groups
over the Deutsche Bucht with attack on german destroyer. One group is
intercepted by I./Z.G.26. 5 Hampden of 144.Sqn. out of 11 shot down.
Norwegian steamer “Solaas” (1368t)
sunk.
2 german steamers returned home from
overseas.
U-Boote:
U35 west-exit channel.
U22 is called back because
there is just one torpedo left and the commander is ill.
U28 arrives in Wilhelmshaven
and has to be repaired.
