The Ob.d.M. decides:

a)       As soon as O.d.Ost opens the Eastsea for training operations again, “Strahl” has to be transferred to O.d.West.

b)       To provide more vessels of type “Strahl”.

c)       to enforce minelaying operations by submarines along east coast of England.

d)       to procide escort for german ships along the norwegian coast.

e)       that Danzig will get Army base. Just port facilities for Navy.

f)        Gdingen becomes military-harbor for Kriegsmarine. Transfer of schools and training units will be discussed.

g)       Navy operates coastal fortifications.

h)       1.M.S.-Flottille shall be transferred to the Northsea after clearing Gdingen area.

i)         “Grille” has to be replaced (even before “Tannenberg” is ready) by “Hansestadt Danzig”.

 

Order to Gruppe Ost:

a)       If possible spare Gdingen harbor installations when attacking.

b)       Not to use Mz.-planes against ground (land) targets.

 

U-Bootsjagd Ostsee reports Baltic-sea free and gives green light for training operations.

 

Air recon does not spot any british units up to the area of Shetland. Rumours about british units in the area are not confirmed. German steamers that are still in Norway are ordered to go to Germany. U20 is escorting in the area of Utsir.

 

The british submarine "Oxley" is torpedoed in error by "Triton" and goes down off Obrestad.
