Kristi Ekman (formerly Heckendorn)

Mrs. Ekman is a campus staff member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. She is currently staffed at Hood College in Frederick, MD. She will be transferring to work at University of Maryland at College Park. She graduated from Hood in May 1997 with a bachelor of arts degree in early childhood education and Spanish. She grew up in Damascus, MD and graduated from Damascus High School in 1993. In high school, Kristi played her heart out for the marching band. Kristi has travelled to many European countries and a few Central American countries. Although she has never been to the West Coast of the US. She even lived for six months in Sevilla, Spain. She can speak in Spanish. Kristi enjoys cooking, gardening, watching football (Go Redskins!), drinking coffee, buying shoes, and reading books.

Chris Ekman

Mr. Ekman is a software engineer with Commerce One in Arlington, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech in December 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in computer science. He grew up in Rockville, MD and graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in 1992. In high school, Chris ran past almost everyone on track and field. Chris has travelled all over the US (including Hawaii), and a few Asian countries. His most memorable trip was to China in 1999. Chris enjoys ultimate frisbee, hiking, cheering for his teams (Go Hokies!, Go Orioles!, Go Redskins!), making e-mail lists, building web pages, eating strawberries, buying electronics, and reading books.
