What the hell, I haven't updated this sucker for two months!  Well, there hasn't been much in the way of GVT news to report.  Aaron got his computer problems fixed, so copies of
Smoke and Paper Moons should be far more plentiful in the near future.  Mr. Tony Stasiek of the Bellingham Herald gave the album a very kind review.  I'll post it in the near future . . .
Next year/quarter I should be a little less busy and should be able to concentrate on more GVT business again.  Some shows are in the works, including a show at the UCH in the VU with Mr. Jason Anderson, the Wolf Colonel, a throughly great person and performer and one of my favorite curent songwriters.
What else . . . I purchased a Danelectro Reel Echo pedal, it should be getting here soon.  Racetrack took a little break to work on new songs, but have a bunch of shows in December, then we're taking some time off for the holidays.  I only have two more quarters of school left before I graduate from WWU, in four years no less.  My friends' bands continue to astound me as they improve dramatically all the time.  I really need to change the strings on my guitar.  Iran, Xiu Xiu, Deerhoof, Menomena, Broken Social Scene, and Cardinal have all been rocking my stereo as of late.

See ya next year!

Thanks to all that came out to the Mt. Eerie show last week.  It was awesome.  The GAF Church is far and away my favorite venue to play at in the solo fashion.  I've got a couple solo shows coming up this month, both at the Factory (therefore both 21+).  The
'Track is of course super busy these next few weeks with plenty of shows over the next month and a half.  There's some downloads from my new record just above this paragraph.  I have to go to work now.

Hello all.  I am back in town after 3 1/2 weeks of rocking the country with the Track.  Thanks to everyone who came out, put us up for the night, bought stuff, said hi, or whatever.
Now, the cd's for Smoke and Paper Moons have finally arrived!  Aaron and I will be making all of the artwork and then they will be available in the next couple weeks online and at GVT and Racetrack shows.  They'll be $8 at a show or $10 online.  Thanks to everyone who's been so patient and has been bothering us to get this record done.
I played a wonderful show last night at Mr. Aiken's house with Amy Mahardy and Kristen Allen-Zito.  Thanks to everyone who came, especially Rina, Keena, Shanti, Kate, and Hannah, who all had driven or been driven for several hours.  Your attendance was greatly appreciated.
Now, fall is nearly upon us.  No upcoming shows are currently scheduled, but a revamped GVT/P's lineup is in the works will hopefully be making a live debut in the next couple months.
Talk to you all soon, I hope.

Hey folks.  I'm out on tour with Racetrack right now.  We've made a limited number of tour only copies of
Smoke and Paper Moons, but the real deal will be out when we come back.  Our van smells a lot better now than it did after our 12 hour late night drive from Missoula, MT to Wiliston, ND.  Meghan says that"peeing your pants" is the new "not peeing your pants."  I got a charlie horse in the middle of the night and received a short lived case of Tourette's as a result.  Oh, and I got stung in the arm by a bee in Jackson's parents garage, then hit myself in the face while trying to fend off another bee.

Tour is amazing.

We got the master yesterday and Jackson and I spent four and a half hours in the Fairhaven studio doing some final editing and sequencing.  It'll be off to the plant on Monday, and we should have a small amount of copies (about 20) for the Racetrack summer tour.  Speaking of the tour, it just continues to grow and grow.  And I'm playing a solo set at the Old Redmond Firehouse next Wednesday, July 16th.  It's free. Thanks to
Rina for getting me the gig!
