This first song here was written and recorded sometime in February of 2002. I was doing my best to emulate the Shins, though I think what came out was kinda different. It was recorded on my roommate Alex's computer using Cakewalk. So far, it's unreleased, though I think it may be due for some revision. First written and recorded in my dorm room for what became Call Before You Dig. If you listen closely at the end of the song, you can hear birds chirping outside my window. A full band version of this song will be included on Smoke and Paper Moons. This song was written and recorded for CBYD, but this performance is from a radio show hosted by my friend Matt on KUGS. Chris was playing some awesome fuzz bass, that at times makes it sound like there's a weird cello in the background or something. This was meant to be on the as yet unfinished Funanimal Co-Motion compiliation. A rough mix of a song for Smoke and Paper Moons. Things seem to be coming along well. |
