1.The Holocaust
-Began in 1939 and ended in 1945.
-Six million Jews had died along with five million non-Jews.
-Anyone who was against Nazism was killed.
-Nazis killed Gypsies, Polish intellectuals, -Serbs, resistance fighters of all war, German oppenents against Nazism, and of course the Jews.

2.The Term "Holocaust"
-Was created and used by the Greeks
-Meant as a burnt whole or consumed by fire.

3."The Final Solution"
-The Final Solution was planned by Hitler and the Nazis.
-Planned to starve the Jews at concentration camps.
-"Auschwitz" was a starvation and death center for the Jews.

4.Wansee Conference
-Hitler decided to move from a policy of forced emigration to one of annihilation of June 1942.
-An official conference held in Berlin of Wansee.
-During the conference, S.S. officers and other top Nazi leaders learned that a new policy was soon to be in effect.
Nazi officials minds had changed from having the Jews being emigrated to being sent to death camps.
-The death camps would have facilities designed specifically for mass murder.

5.Brand New Ways For Killing The Jews
-New technologies for killing the Jews was mostly created by Heinrich Himmler. He had organized mobile killing Squads. The "Einsatzgruppen" that followed the German armies into occupied Poland.
The Holocaust.....1939-1945
Star Of David represented the Jews. It had to be worn while leaving outside of home.
