Chozyn -- continued

Nickname: Crusaders or Defectors (depending on the opinion)

Sect: Chozyn vampires seem to follow their own code of honor and individuality, but they have an interesting knack for fitting in almost anywhere: they respect the six Traditions better than some princes, and have been sited as more deserving of archbishop titles in scatteres Sabbat cities worldwide.  They are almost Inconnu, but they are active ones, rather than stoic bystanders.

Appearance: Chozyn vampires are as physically diverse as mortals.  They can be as ugly as a dog or more beautiful than the lost dawn.  Most seem to be at least slightly athletically inclined, but some are 90 pound weakling look-alikes.  All Chozyn vampires keep one item on their person at all times that is marked with the clan symbol, a five-point star surrounded by shooting stars.  This symbol is sometimes concealed, sometimes it is brandished for the world to see.  Chozyn vampires who have acheived second level Celestine manifest "starfield" eyes -- which are totally blackened save the intermittent sparks -- during activation of the Discipline, and those who have acheived fourth level and above posess these eyes at all times.

Haven: Unless they are on Australian soil, most Chozyn have no permanent haven.  There are exceptions to this, but they are few.  A Chozyn's haven, if it is truly their permanent haven, is often middle to upper class housing.

Background: Chozyn vampires come from diverse backgrounds, but all seem to have a history of lonliness and/or overall dissatisfaction.  Most Chozyn are raised by the clan or their ghouls from birth, never knowing their heritage until their Embrace.  The reason for this is if the individual proves to be unfit for unlife and death will not be necessary.
There have been reports of vampires of other clans
becoming Chozyn vampires, but these are unconfirmed.  Many attribute the possibility of transformation to the tale of Duncan Bishop's alleged metamorphosis which was caused by his excessive use of Celestine.  The Discipline itself, however is as carefully guarded a secret as Bishop's past, and since the records of its conception seem to have vanished into non-existence, the possibility of this is almost nil.

Character Creation: Chozyn have a natural affinity for a sense of purpose, so the nature of the Chronicle usually determines the Character's short-term concept.  They can have any Nature, but usually have very ordered and strict demeanors such as Director, Perfectionist, or the like.  Their strong Attributes are usually Mental or Physical, but Social traits are almost always the secondary.  Choayn Willpower is legendary: they are possibly the most willful vampires in existence.  Chozyn raised as such from birth have high Humnity ratings.

Clan Disciplines: Celestine (details coming soon), Dominate, Presence

Weakness: Chozyn all follow strict codes of honor.  They are protectors and champions.  Therefore, they have a difficult time bearing witness to certain acts that go against their personal moral code.  Whenever a Chozyn vampire witnesses an act that violates that code, they must attempt to reverse, repay, or equalize the injury or spend a temporary Willpower point and take a Willpower role to restrain themselves.  The difficulty of this role is dependent on the severity of the breach of code.  Failure results in a variety of nasty outcomes including frenzy, while a botch usually leads to a strange turn of events including frenzy followed by turpor, with the victim usually awakening with a derangement.  The code the vampire adheres to is not necessarily one of virtue, peace, "thuth, justice, and the [whatever] way," but it often is.

Organization: As if it wasn't ambiguous enough, this is the greatest enigma of Clan Chozyn.  No one has ever gotten close enough to the clan to discover their inner workings, but it is clear that the command structure slightly resembles that of Cln Tremere.  Unlike the Tremere, however, Chozyn vampires seem to relish the fact that they are Chozyn, and take great pride in their work, whether it be clan business or personal business.
As of yet, the only Chozyn version of chantries, simply called houses, exist in Australia, but Duncan Bishop is nothing if not unpredictable.  Bishop himself is strange enough when viewed from without directly, but when viewed through the eyes of other Chozyn, it becomes even more bizarre.  They all call him "Father Duncan," but they speak of and to him like a brother.  Bishop himself treats almost everyone with unwavering respect, except those who he views as dishonorable.

Quote: We know what you've done and we know what you're planning.  We also know that your elders have yet to catch wind of it.  But, since se believe everyone should have at least a warning, here goes: Father Duncan is displeased with your actions, and as a result, the remaining members of your pack are coming through that door in five... four... three... two... one... my, that looks uncomfortable.
