| Petenwell Rock offers a good day of climbing without ever having to tie into a rope. The two main areas to boulder are the 30 Degree Wall and the Friction Boulder (as we call it). The 30 Degree wall is at the top of the north end of the ridge. Friction Boulder is at the south end behind the Coyote Tower. While there are many other places with bouldering at Petenwell most of the good problems are at these two places. Most of the obvious lines are fairly easy, harder problems for the most part come as eliminates. |
