Space Quest
The Sarien Encounter
The planet of Xenon is in a crisis: their sun is slowly
dying away, and without a sun, life on Xenon would cease to exist.
Fortunately, scientists have made a scientific breakthrough that
could solve the problem. They have built a large machine called
the Star Generator with the power to turn a lifeless planet into
a blazing sun. It could save all life on Xenon for years to come.
After successful testing, the generator is on board the starship
Arcada heading back to Xenon.
The Arcada, however, faces a great risk. Following it is a larger
ship called the Deltaur, which is commanded by the Sariens intended
to steal the generator. The ship successfully docks with the Arcada.
The Sariens soon invade the small spaceship, shooting any crew
member who gets in their way. They also successfully accomplish
their goal: steaing the Star Generator and taking it with them.

Meanwhile, Roger Wilco steps out of a broom closet
on the Arcada after taking a nap. Awakened by the sound of alarms
all over the ship, he realizes that he is in danger. To make matters
worse, the ship's self-destruct timer is activated. He has only
several minutes to find a way to escape the doomed ship. To do
so, he must be smart and quick when hiding from the Sariens searching
the ship for any more lifeforms.
Roger eventually gets out of the Arcada and sails through space
in an escape pod. He navigates to a planet randomly selected by
the pod's navigation computer. He crashes onto a hot, yet bearable,
desert planet called Kerona. There, he comes face to face with
an orat that's mean and hungry. Another threat for Roger is a
spider droid that explodes when in proximity with a targeted lifeform.
With courage and determination, Roger's exploration of his surroundings
leads him to an area at Ulence Falls. It consists of nothing more
than three establishments: a bar, a robot store, and a used spacecraft
dealership. The area is enclosed by a force field so that nobody
can walk out of or into the area. Here, Roger must really think
of a way out. More importantly, he must find the Sariens who,
with the Star Generator, can destroy planets at their will.
