Leisure Suit Larry
In The Land Of The Lounge Lizards
Larry Laffer, a.k.a. Leisure Suit Larry, starts his
first adventure of seeking women and love in the corrupt town
of Lost Wages. He is in front of Lefty's bar and only has $94
along with breath spray to prevent frightening the ladies away
from him. He has only one thing in mind: lose his virginity to
a fabulous woman before sunrise. Of course, a nerd like him might
find that to be a little difficult. When it comes to women, Larry
is someone with a success rate less than 25%.
Lost Wages is not much of a tourist attraction, so it is the ideal
place for drinking and dirty action. Larry's adventure takes him
to just five places within the city called Lost Wages. Lefty's
bar is the first. There's also a little convenience store next
to a swinging disco. The other two locations are a casino and
a wedding chapel for anyone to get married within a few minutes.
To travel the dark, mean streets, Larry must ride a taxi and spend
a lot of money in the process.

Throughout the night, he must be cautious to survive
and witty to get lucky. If he is smart, he'll finally score by
the end of the night. If his pick-up lines are lame and his breath
stinks, he'll have luck with nobody. Of course, his personality
and outer appearance are things that are a part of him and cannot
change as easily as he wants to. Larry will try hard and emerge
as a winner, or else he will waste one night in Lost Wages as
a single loser.
Larry does have four opportunities to make it with
a lady. In other words, there are four ladies throughout his adventure
in the night. There is a hooker in the upstairs bedroom above
Lefty's bar. There's also an attractive blonde named Fawn in the
disco. In the casino, Faith appears as a security guard who shows
much skin. Larry's ultimate goal is Eve in the penthouse of the
casino hotel. Determined to get lucky, Larry Laffer is never a
quitter, regardless of the humiliation he goes through with some
of these pretty women.
Larry is either humiliated or prevented from reaching his goal
in several situations. They include purchasing some protection
from the convenience store, which is owned by Saddam Hussein's
third cousin, and nearly hitting it off with Fawn. In Larry's
attempt to reach the hooker, there is a fat, dumb looking guy
guarding the stairs to the upstairs room. In whatever obstacle
he faces, he has to find a way to get past it. Otherwise, he will
end up depressed for a longer time.
