We travelled directly to the trailhead from Kathmandu for our 17 day trek around the Annapurna Circuit. This 17 day trek took us on a tour encircling the Annapurna Himal consisting of 9 peaks the highest of which, Annapurna 1, and Dhaulagiri tower above 8000m. While we didn't scale any of these peaks the trail did reach 5416m at Thorung La, that's higher than we've ever been before on foot. It was quite a strenuous hike but a fantastic experience.

We now plan to travel to India. First we will see northern India including Varanassi, the Taj Mahal, and Rishikesh. We will then travel south to Mumbai.
