The nurse pulls a gun on her and she is escorted into the back of an ambulance. Inside, shes shoved down by her throat onto a stretcher, held down with a left hand around her neck as a right hand covers her face with a folded white cloth. The cloth is placed perfectly, so we can see her eyes as she struggles and the camera is well positioned too in a nice close up from her shoulders up. Unfortunately, after three seconds of struggle, the movie cuts to an exterior shot as the ambulance pulls out of the garage. By the time we cut back, Ms. Mazzetti is no longer struggling, her eyes are shut and the cloth is just being removed when we cut away again. Its an okay scene that could have been great. TITLE: Ruthless People (1986 US movie) Actress: Bette Midler My Rating: 2 stars Description: This would be a pretty good scene if the victim wasnt Bette Midler. Actually, the bigger problem isnt so much Bette as the character shes playing in the movie is supposed to be very slobby and unattractive, so the Divine Miss M purposefully doesnt look her best. She is in a scuffle with her kidnapper and suddenly slips, falling on her back, and the kidnapper jumps on top of her and chloroforms her in a nice close up of her face. When a rich old matron shows up in her car and offers to give the teacher a ride, she doesn't hesitate. Unfortunately, the old woman and her female driver are actually German spies out to steal the schoolteacher's identity. The teacher, looking at her surroundings, asks the driver, "Haven't you taken the wrong road?" The old woman tells her it's probably a short cut and then worries that the girl is probably cold. She asks the driver to give the schoolteacher the Shetland scarf. The female driver opens a box and hesitates for just a moment before passing the scarf to the old lady. The old lady very nicely wraps the scarf around the girl's neck before suddenly thrusting the scarf over the girl's nose and face while holding the back of the girl's neck so she can't escape with the other hand. The shot is from a bad profile, almost behind the girl, but she mmmphs and moans nicely. After three seconds, there's a cut to a front view of the scar being held in place, the girl's eyes arlready shut as she's lowered back onto the car seat. Scene lasts ten seconds. About a minute later, there's a brief shot of the girl still unconscious in the backseat of the car, apparently nude (of course they didn't show anything back then, but her shoulders are bare and there's just a blanket covering her). The car is then shoved off the cliff. TITLE: Star of Dave (? Japanese movie) Actress: unknown TITLE: Star Slammer (1984 US movie) aka Prison Ship; Adventures of Taura Actress: Susan Stokey My Rating: 3 stars Description: We see a cell door open and a point of view shot of someone approaching Ms. Stokey, who is on her cot, asleep. The camera gets right beside her bed, and then a menacing hand holding white gauze enters the frame, placing the gauze over her nose and mouth. She wakes up and struggles to pull off the arm, managing to get it a little off her nose, but no further, she struggles wide-eyed, but passes out after about eight seconds as her arms fall limply away. The cloth is removed at about eleven seconds in, and her mouth is slightly open as the assailant gives her cheek a little nudge to make sure shes out. Theres a brief cradle carry as she is placed onto a surgery table. TITLE: Stealing Candy (2002 US direct to video) Actress: Jenya Lano My Rating: 3 stars for scene one, 2 stars for scene two Description: SCENE ONE: Blonde leading lady is chloroformed on her bed in a lovely nightie. SCENE TWO: Shes chloroformed again in the getaway van to keep her quiet when a cop car pulls the van over. In this scene, shes wearing a blindfold while chloroformed, which is removed after she is unconsious. TITLE: Strike of the Panther (1988 Australian movie) aka Fists of Blood Actress: Paris Jefferson My Rating: 3 stars Description: There are multiple bad cuts that interrupt this scene, but the basics of the scene are quite good. A pretty brunette is headed to the gym in workout leotard and sneakers, accompanied by a man. They are attacked by two men from behind. They bash her companion over the head. Then, one of the men holds the girl in a sleeper hold while the other man soaks a cloth which he then places over her mouth and nose. The man who had her in a sleeper hold then holds the cloth into place with both hands as she passes out. His buddy scoops up her legs under one arm and he and the man chloroforming her carry her quite a way to a car, cloth in place all throughout. The man chloroforming her climbs into the backseat of the car, dragging the woman in after him, still holding cloth in place. TITLE: Superprodukcja (2003 Polish movie) Actress: Magdalena Schejbal TITLE: Sweet Revenge (1987 US movie) Actress: Nancy Allen My Rating: Coming soon Description: Coming soon. TITLE: Sweet Sickness, A (1965 US movie) Actress: Vincene Wallace My Rating: 3 stars (4 stars for the visual, but the scene is shot like a silent movie) Description: One of the weirdest chloroform scenes Ive ever encountered is in this very, very low-budget relic from the sixties. The pretty heroine, dressed in a white blouse and knee-high skirt, is looking for a new apartment, and is being shown one by a realtor, but she narrates the entire scene in a voice-over, I think because the actual recorded sound of the scene probably was either misplaced or very badly mis-recorded. Whats funny is she reads the narration kind of like a little girl giving a school report, The man was nice and gave me no reason to suspect that anything was wrongIts hard to realize just what he had in store for me. As the realtor starts to show her the kitchen, some music that sounds kind of like something Jim Morrison threw in the garbage begins to blare up. The realtor opens the fridge, and as the girl looks inside, he reaches into his pockets and pulls out a rolled up cloth and a bottle and begins to soak the cloth behind her back. Whatever is in the fridge must be really interesting, because shes still looking inside when the man clamps the cloth over her nose and mouth from behind, grabbing her left arm in his left hand. She wrenches up and manages to break free for just a second, running forward a bit, but he manages to grab her again and put the cloth back into place. In the struggle, her blouse has been ripped open and one of her beautiful breasts pops out. Finally, shes going out, her eyes are closed and the man quickly pulls the cloth off for a second and then reapplies it again before pulling it off again as she slumps forward, mouth open. He begins lowering her to the floor, with the cloth back over her face and then the picture goes out of focus. The entire sequence lasts for over twenty seconds. She comes to naked, drugged out of her mind as some dude is taking photos of her, and then a psychedelic drug montage follows. TITLE: Sweet Smell of Death (1994 Hong Kong movie) Actress: unknown My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: Running down a house hallway, a sexy Asian is grabbed from the side in a nice close up. Duration is about eight seconds. TITLE: Tales from the Crypt Presents Bordello of Blood (1996 US movie) Actress: Erika Eleniak My Rating: 1 star Description: She is chloroformed from behind in a very, very quick scene. TITLE: Target for Killing (1966 German movie) aka Das Geheimnis der gelben Donche aka How to Kill a Lady; Secret of the Yellow Monks Actress: Karin Dor Description: She is chloroformed and deposited in a trunk. TITLE: Tattoo (1981 US movie) Actress: Maud Adams My Rating: Description: Maud opens her door and is quickly chloroformed by a tattoo artist (Bruce Dern) who wants to use her body for his masterpiece. Excellent vocal performance in the scene, which lasts about eleven seconds. Followed by a short cradle carry as he places her on her couch. TITLE: Terrible People, The (1960 German movie) aka Die Bande des Schreckens; Hand at the Gallows Actress: Karin Dor My Rating: 3 stars Description: I like the scene in this black-and-white German film, even though it dissolves out well before loss of consciousness. Gorgeous Karin Dor is in a hospital bed reading a magazine when a nurse walks in. The nurse sets down a small tray on a stand beside the bed and Dor returns her attention to the magazine. The nurse has the cloth in her hand all along (if you look when she enters, shes holding the cloth under the round tray with the drink on it), and that brief moment where Dor turns her head back to the magazine is all the time the nurse needs. She pounces and chloroforms Karin Dor. Dors head is arched back onto the bed, theres a cut to the nurses face, then a cut over to Dor, struggling, cloth held firmly in place. The scene then fades away prematurely, but overall, its very well staged I dont see how Dor could escape, and her vocal performance is excellent. Duration is about six seconds. TITLE: Terror House (1972 US movie) aka Club Dead; The Folks at Red Wolf Inn; Terror at Red Wolf Inn; Terror on the Menu Actress: Margaret Avery TITLE: Testament of Dr. Mabuse, The (1962 German movie) aka Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse; The Last Will of Dr. Mabuse Actress: Senta Berger My Rating: 1 star Description: Gorgeous Senta Berger, in a black sweater and leather skirt, and a male cohort are trying to escape a hall of mirrors, when they turn and see three lab coated men approaching, two of the men holding white cloths. Two of the men handle Bergers companion, but the other man walks up to her and places the cloth over her face from the front. She really flails at her attacker with her arms, punching down, but nothing deters him. Unfortunately, the scene fades out way too prematurely, after only about four seconds. We next see the two being wheeled on gurneys, still unconscious. TITLE: Thirst (1979 Australian movie) Actress: Chantal Contouri My Rating: 1 star Description: Coming soon. TITLE: Thirsty Dead, The (1974 US movie) aka Blood Hunt Actress: Jennifer Billingsley; Judith McConnell; Chiqui da Rosa My Rating: 1 star for scene one; 1 1/2 stars for scene two; 2 1/2 stars for scene three Description: In the first scene, a blonde (Judith McConnell) hears on the radio about white slavers and looks at her reflection in the mirror and jokes, How would you like to be a white slave? Sign me up. In a coincidence, she opens the door to her dressing room and has a rag shoved over her mouth and nose. She gasps and then lets out a couple mms before the scene dissolves into the movies main credits. Scene lasts four seconds. SCENE TWO: The movies blonde leading lady (Jennifer Billingsley) has just kissed her beau good night when she opens a door she is grabbed by a pair of men dressed like monks who immediately chloroform her. She lets out a little gasp when there is a very quick cut back to her manfriend in an atrocious plaid jacket looking pensive, debating whether or not to open her door and follow her. He doesnt. Cut back to the blonde, hair in wild disarray, one hand thrust out just before dropping limp as she passes out. When next we see her, she is coming to with a flashlight shown in her face in the sewers. SCENE THREE: The best scene occurs a bit later. The kidnapped women are being marched to a jungle Shangri-La when they see a plane flying overhead. An Asian girl starts to yell to the plane. Two the kidnappers trade a look, one of them nods and the other goes to grab the girl, who begins to plead with them to leave her alone. One man grabs her left wrist with his right hand while holding her head with his left while another man holds chloroforms her. She continues to plead with them, her cries being muffled as shes forced onto her knees. After about eight seconds, her voice goes silent and her eyes begin to glaze over. Theres a cut to the blonde actress looking on, then back to the Asian girl, hands going limp, eyes really glazed over now, one eye shutting while the other stays open in a drugged stupor. Entire scene lasts about fourteen seconds. TITLE: Thirty-Nine Steps, The (1978 UK movie) Actress: Karen Dotrice TITLE: Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967 US movie) Actress: unknown My Rating: 1 1/2 stars Description: Right at the start of this musical, a white slaver laundry woman chloroforms and kidnaps a young blonde. The girl is sitting with her back to the camera, singing and playing a banjo when shes grabbed from behind. Scene only lasts about three seconds, but Ive always liked the way her shoulder darts up in surprise, and then just shoots down as she passes out and gives a final mmf. A bit later, she comes to in a laundry basket, and she pokes her head out and the villain pours chloroform onto her head and she passes out again. TITLE: Those Fantastic Flying Fools (1967 UK movie) aka Blast Off!; Rocket to the Moon Actress: Daliah Lavi Description: Most edits of the movie (with a running time of 95 mintues in the US, 105 minutes in the UK) Ive seen only imply the chloro scene, but theres a long version of the movie that runs 120 minutes that I believe may include a scene. TITLE: Thrillkill (1986 US movie) Actress: Gina Massey My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: She walks down her stairs, scared, rounding a wall shes grabbed from behind and half-walked, half-dragged out of the house. Kind of dark, and she doesnt really put up much of a fight, just kind of moves her arms around a bit weakly. Duration of the scene is about fourteen seconds. TITLE: To Err is Human (1987 Hong Kong movie) aka Piao cuo can; To Err is Humane Actress: Joey Wong (2x) TITLE: Tomorrow Man, The (1996 US TV movie) Actress: Deborah May TITLE: Too Close to Home (1997 US TV movie) Actress: Sarah Trigger My Rating: Coming soon. TITLE: Too Many Crooks (1958 UK movie) Actress: Brenda De Banzie TITLE: To Serve and Protect (1999 US TV movie) aka Family Shield Actress: Amanda Welles My Rating: 3 stars Description: Chloroformed from behind. TITLE: Trail of a Serial Killer (1997 US movie) aka Papertrail Actress: Audrey Lupke; Alison Reid; Thea Gill TITLE: Tres Minutos en la Oscuridad (1996 Mexican movie) Actress: Tiar Scanda TITLE: Tunnel Vision (1995 Australian movie) Actress: unknown; Patsy Kensit My Rating: 1/2 a star for each scene Description: Two scenes, equally worthless. Both are blink-and-miss-its, as the women are distracted with a kitten in their rooms, and while looking at the kitten, grabbed from behind and yanked out of the frame, ultra-quick. TITLE: Twist of Fate (1997 US movie) aka Psychopath Actress: Karen Elkin; Tara Slone My Rating: 2 1/2 stars for Elkin scene; 3 1/2 stars for Slone scene Description: Coming soon. TITLE: Two Female Spies with Flowered Panties (1980 Spanish movie) aka Pick Up Girls Actress: ? TITLE: Two Undercover Angels (1969 Spanish movie) aka Sadist Erotica; El Caso de las dos bellezas Actress: Janine Reynaud My Rating: 1 1/2 stars Description: In this Jess Franco directed nonsense, the auburn-haired undercover angel has discovered the identity of the murderer. She pulls her gun on the man, but doesn't see his servant, Morpho, sneaking up on her from behind. She tells the man too many of her friends know she's there, but he replies, "Sorry, but they can't help you," beofre yelling out, "Morpho!" This causes the woman to spin around but Morpho knocks the gun out of her hand and grabs her wrist to spin her back around so he is behind her. It's difficult to tell if this is actually a chloroform scene or not, he seems to have a cloth in his hand which is visible on the bottom of his hand as he clamps it to her, but it may just be her hair. At any rate, he never actually covers her mouth and nose, but she seems to pass out as if drugged after about seven seconds anyway and is allowed to drop to the floor. TITLE: Unborn, The (1991 US movie) Actress: Brooke Adams My Rating: 2 stars Description: The scene occurs an hour into the movie. Brooke Adams is heading for an alley abortion to remove a mutant spawn from her belly. The alley doctor (who looks kind of like a young Cactus Jack) tells his toady to Put her out. Put her out now! Toady grabs a big bottle of chloroform and soaks up the rag and says Sorry hun. Big close up as the rag is put over her face, bad cut to Cactus Jack squirting an enormous needle, back to the close up as Adams is out. Adams unns well, but the scene is too short and there is no shot of the cloth being removed. Scene duration is about five seconds. TITLE: Undertaker and His Pals, The (1967 US movie) Actress: ? My Rating: Coming soon. Description: Coming soon. TITLE: Underworld (1985 US movie) aka Transmutations Actress: Nicola Cowper TITLE: Und tschss!
