HOME GO TO H-P GO TO Q-Z A-G TITLE: Abduction of Saint Anne, The (1975 US TV movie) aka Theyve Kidnapped Anne Benedict Actress: Kathleen Quinlan TITLE: After Pilkington (1987 UK TV movie) Actress: Miranda Richardson My Rating: 1 star Description: At the end of the movie, shes chlorod while asleep and murdered with the drug. TITLE: Agency (1980 US movie) aka Mind Games (video title) Actress: Valerie Perrine My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: An ad agencys commercials are subliminally brainwashing the population and fixing elections in America. A pair of bad guys are trying to retrieve a tape that has fallen into the possession of hero Lee Majors and his girlfriend (Valerie Perrine). They try to kidnap the woman at gunpoint at a shopping mall, but she feigns pregnancy (holding her bag under her coat as a belly) and yells that her baby is coming and is saved by concerned citizens. Unfortunately, the bad guys are waiting in her apartment for her. After ripping open her blouse and threatening her with a knife, she decides to hand over the tape. She is then surprised with a chloroform-soaked white towel, held over her face from the front, and we get some very nice shots of her eyes and two nice mmms. After about three seconds, her eyes close and she is starting to be lowered down out of frame when there is a cut at four seconds to a very bad angle shot from behind the chloroformer as the unconscious womans body is shoved onto a couch, but she is mostly blocked from view by the man and then there is an immediate cut to the next scene. There isnt a wake up scene per se, but when Lee Majors arrives at her apartment and begins ringing her doorbell, we see her sitting on the couch with a very dazed look in her eyes and see her walk very weakly to the door. Later she says, They drugged me and I woke up on the couch. TITLE: Airtight (1999 US TV movie) Actress: Andrea Moore My Rating: 2 stars Description: Scene occurs about half way through the movie. The middle-aged redhead actress slips out of the bathtub and into a pink robe. Shes combing her hair when a noise attracts her attention. She calls out, a little coyly, when shes grabbed from the side by a gloved hand with the cloth. Initially, the cloth covers her eyes, but shes moved sideways so that her back is against a wall and theres a clear shot of her eyes for just a moment as they shut. As shes pushed up against the wall, her eyes are closed for the majority of her mmmphs, but her eyebrows are arched up and her neck and shoulder are tense until shes completely out, and everything goes suddenly lax. She does some very faint squeals, then a nice final mmmm as she passes out. Theres a cut to another scene, and when we come back, she is set into the bathtub and murdered. Duration of the scene is about five seconds. TITLE: All the Colors of the Dark (1972 Italian movie) aka Day of the Maniac Actress: Edwige Fenech My Rating: zero stars Description: Implied scene only. TITLE: Ambulance, The (1990 US movie, direct to video) Actress: Janine Turner My Rating: 1/2 a star Description: This scene was cut from the movie but appears in the trailer. Shes packed off in the ambulance, strapped down, and the rag is put over her face. Duration is less than a second. TITLE: American Hunter (1988 Indonesian movie) aka Lethal Hunter Actress: Ida Iasha, unknown Description: From Brians page: Approximately 30 minutes after the start of the movie, on the second kidnapping attempt (at a hospital), she and a female nurse was chloroformed and kidnapped using a helicopter. TITLE: Angel of Fury (1992 US movie) Actress: Cynthia Rothrock My Rating: 2 stars Description: Chlorod from behind on a boat in the first fifteen minutes of the movie, unfortunately, shes wearing sunglasses and its a very quick scene considering Rothrocks supposed to be a tough karate mama. I think the dialogue went something like: Sweet dreams Ms. Bolen! Sleep tight. Duration is about three seconds. TITLE: Angry Dogs (1997 US movie) Actress: Isis Wills My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: This curly haired blondie is pinned up against a wall and chloroformed rather easily; her head does slump open-mouthed on her attackers shoulder as the cloth is removed, but the scene is too quick, and Ms. Wills emits no sound at all. Duration is about five seconds. TITLE: Asian Charlies Angels (2001 Hong Kong TV movie) Actress: Christy Chung, Yu Ke Xin My Rating: 2 stars for both scenes Description: The first scene happens in an elevator as the gorgeous Christy Chung is chloroformed from the front, her eyes are closed the entire time but with a very nice shot of her slumbering face on the mans shoulder after the cloth is removed. The second girl is chloroformed by the old villain-hiding-in-the-backseat trick, but this scene is a little different in that she is actually driving her car in a parking garage when the chloroform scene starts. Unfortunately, the entire scene is viewed through the rearview mirror in the girls car. Her face is visible until unconsciousness, but her eyes are closed the entire time and when she passes out, her head is slumped out of view. TITLE: At Midnight Ill Take Your Soul (1964 Brazilian movie) aka A Meia-Noite Levarei Sua Alma Actress: Valria Vasquez My Rating: 2 stars Description: The top hat wearing Coffin Joe wants to get rid of his wife. Entering his house, he has a handy bottle of ether sitting on a shelf. He soaks some cotton and then meets with his wife. She tries to reconcile with him, and he hugs her around her shoulder and neck with his left arm, as if comforting her, when he suddenly shoves the cotton into her face with his right hand. The cloth and his hands obscure her entire face. He then moves her, about four seconds into the scene, so that his left arm is around her neck like in a sleeper hold while the right hand still holds the cotton in place. He lowers her to the floor from behind, cloth still in place, until they are sort of sitting. Her struggles eventually cease, but he never removes the cloth from her face. The vocal protests consist of a series of muffled gasps, followed by some nice moans as she finally succumbs. Whole duration of scene is about thirty seconds. TITLE: Atomic Brain, The (1964 US movie) aka Monstrosity Actress: Erika Peters My Rating: 3 stars Description: A rich old crone hires three comely foreign housekeepers with the plan to transplant her brain into one of their young, sexy bodies. Two of the girls meet nasty fates before she can get around to the whole brain transplant thing, but thats why she hired three. Erika Peters is backing through a door away from the old woman when she is stopped by the crones trusty mad scientist. She pleads to the doctor, You realize shes mad, dont you Dr. Frank, but then, we hear her gasp (offscreen), followed immediately by a shot from just below the waist up as the doctor holds gauze over her face with his right hand and chloroforms her from the front, while hugging her to him with his left arm. After a couple seconds, there is a bad cut to the crone looking on, then a cut back to a perfect close up of the girls face, gauze held perfectly in place for eight seconds as her eyes close and her head leans back and the gauze is removed just as the scene dissolves to a shot of the girl, still slumbering, strapped down to a gurney. She comes to later. The gauze is in absolutely perfect position and theres good eye work, but after the initally gasp, the scene is mostly silent, except for the doctor saying, Relax, but the scene is hurt by the bad cut in the middle of the scene, as well as the fact we dont see the initial placement of the gauze, we just hear her gasp and theres a cut and we discover shes being chloroformed. TITLE: Autumn Born (1979 US movie) Actress: Dorothy Stratten TITLE: Awful Dr. Orloff, The (1962 Mexican movie) aka Gritos en la noche Actress: Mara Laso My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: In this Jess Franco directed remake of Georges Franjus Eyes Without a Face, a mad scientist and his blind henchman Morpho are abducting women from the night to use their skin to graft onto the burned face of his daughter. The experiments arent turning out how Orloff would like, so he decides to use a live woman in his next try. He and Morpho abduct a dancer (Mara Laso) from a nightclub after it closed for the night, with Morpho giving her butterfly kisses and nuzzling her neck until she faints, I guess (why not chloroform her here?). Morpho then cradle carries her off. When next we see her, Laso is laid out upon an operating table in the background of a shot as the doctor soaks a cloth in the foreground. He turns and walks towards the girl, the camera tracking along with him, and he holds the cloth in both his hands as he leans over the girl. Her eyes have opened and just as the doctor holds the cloth over her face like an over-the-mouth gag, her back arches and she struggles as the man shifts his grip to a more traditional chloroform technique, holding it over her face with both hands. Her body collapses back to the table after four seconds and her eyes are shut as he holds the cloth over her mouth for another five seconds before removing his hand, leaving the cloth over the girls face as he departs. The dubber does some very nice moans during the scene. Later, the leading lady, a ballerina (Diana Lorys) who is onto Orloff because her boyfriend is a policeman on the case, purposefully places herself at risk to try to catch the evil doctor. He slips a Mickey in her champagne, but she sees him doing it in a mirror and doesnt drink the beverage. Whisked off in his coach, she feigns unconsciousness; unfortunately for her, when she sees Morpho, she screams and faints. There is a long cradle carry and we see Lorys placed on a bed where she comes to. A bit later, she is confronted by Orloff while Morpho handgags her from behind, and in a scene that could easily be mistaken for a chloroforming, she faints while handgagged and is allowed by Morpho to slump to the floor very nicely in a shot from above that captures her whole body. NOTE: The chloroform scene of Mara Laso is cut out of most releases of this movie Ive viewed, including the DVD, but the scene is included in the DVD of another Jess Franco movie, Revenge in the House of Usher. TITLE: Bagman, The (2002 direct to video) Actress: Lorelei Shannon (aka bondage queen Kristine Imboch) My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: An elephant boy is picked on and beaten up by his classmates, who, as a final indignity, tie a sack over his head and drown him. Thus is born, The Bagman. Ten years later, a man with a bag on his head is running around murdering those who wronged him. Dressed in a sheer nightie, Lorelei enters her bedroom looking for her bonehead lover. Turning, she sees the closet door swing shut. She begins to tiptoe toward the closet. Cut to a shot of gloved hands holding a folded white cloth and soaking it with chloroform. Cut to Lorelei opening the closet door and seeing the body of her lover fall to the floor. She drops to her hands and knees to see if hes alive, calling out his name. Something moves within the hanging clothes to her left. She turns her head and screams as a white cloth is thrust out from the clothes over her face and the camera zooms in to a nice close up of her face. She gives a nice vocal performance and the scene lasts about nine seconds before her face is dropped out of shot and the scene fades to black. Chloroform scene occurs at the 34-minute mark. She wakes up with a start to discover herself tied down. She does not come to a happy end. TITLE: Bank in Bangkok (1965 French movie) aka Banco a Bangkok pour OSS 117; Shadow of Evil Actress: unknown TITLE: Behind Locked Doors (1968 US movie) Actress: Eve Reeves My Rating: 2 stars Description: A very low budget, very bad relic from the late sixties. Two swinging chicks are spending the night at an old dark house; after discovering a closet full of young girls clothing, they decide to sneak out. They dont drink the drugged tea (smart move); but after sneaking Scooby-Doo style down a hallway, they split up (bad move). The scene occurs about thirty minutes in. The cute brunette is chloroformed in profile (all one shot), rather unconvincingly an arm just reaches around her and puts the cloth over her face. No sound at all except a little, final unh at loss of consciousness. Duration is about eight seconds. Afterwards, theres a cut to her auburn-haired friend, and then back to the brunettes booted feet as shes dragged off. Back to the friend, a blackjack is swung and offscreen we hear a little unh from the auburn-haired girl. We dont see the impact, just the result, her unconscious body on the floor, which is scooped up in a very good cradle carry. The chloroformed girl also has a nice wake up scene on a bed. The villainess says, Oh yes, shes coming around. Obviously they didnt drink the tea. Then the bad guy says, No matter, the chloroform did very well. TITLE: Big Pile, The (1985 short movie) Actress: Barbie Levy TITLE: Bis zum horizont und weiter (1999 German movie) aka To the Horizon and Beyond Actress: Corinna Harfouch My Rating: 1 stars Description: We see the soaking of a kitchen rag. Cut to Harfouch holding a croissant between her teeth. She turns, startled by the man, who places the rag entirely over her head, so we dont see her face. He holds it in place for a second, we hear the crunching of the croissant, and when she goes limp she collapses over his shoulder and is carried. To be honest, the carry and subsequent bondage are the only highlights. TITLE: Black Cobra 2, The (1988 Italian movie) aka Cobra nero 2 Actress: Emma Hoagland My Rating: 2 stars Description: Grabbed from behind and quickly chloroformed, all in one shot from profile. TITLE: Black Emanuelle (1975 Italian movie) aka Emmanuelle in Africa Actress: Karin Schubert My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: Schubert is a nude nurse who is chloroformed by the title character. There is a bad cut in the middle of the scene, but the struggle is good and she is lowered onto the floor. TITLE: Black Room, The (1984 US movie) Actress: ? TITLE: Blade of the Ripper (1970 Italian movie) aka Lo Strano vizio della Signora Wardh aka Next Victim!; The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh Actress: Edwige Fenech TITLE: Bless the Child (2000 US movie) Actress: Kim Basinger My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: Not as good as I hoped for, but still okay scene. Maggies (Basinger) foster daughter is kidnapped by satanists; she manages to catch up with them, but they dont plan on giving the little girl back. Confronting the gun wielding villain, shes suddenly grabbed from behind by one of his henchmen. She gives a squeal in surprise. The man holds the cloth firmly in place with his right hand while hugging her close to his body with his other arm. She takes a hold of each of his arms with hers and attempts to wrench herself free, but to no avail. After three seconds, there is an awful cut to her daughter screaming. We cut back just as Basinger is pulled to the floor in a sitting position, still fighting but almost out. The scene goes into a mild slow motion as her eyes close, her hand pulling on the mans goes limp and her head falls back and the scene fades to black. We dont see the cloth removed. The entire scene lasts about fourteen seconds. TITLE: Blind Beast (1969 Japanese movie) aka Mohju; Moju; Warehouse Actress: Mako Midori (2x) My Rating: 4 stars for scene one; 1 1/2 stars for scene two Description: A blind sculptor and his mother kidnap a pretty young model in this Japanese psychological horror movie from the late sixties. The model calls a massage service that sends a masseur right to her house. The masseur turns out to be the sculptor. She is dressed in a simple white nightie. As she lies on the bed, he begins to massage her bare legs and body. After a while, feeling uncomfortable, the woman sits up in bed and gets her purse to pay him and get rid of him. Behind her, the blind man reaches into a pocket in his coat and pulls out a plastic baggie with a white cloth inside it. He pulls the cloth out and then grabs her left shoulder with his left hand and flings her back onto the bed. She yells out, What are you doing? just as the cloth is applied to her face. He leans on top of her as her bare legs kick wildly and her body contorts and struggles on the bed. Theres a cut to a shot with the camera at the head of the bed shooting down that shows her arms pushing against her attackers face and clawing his sunglasses off. Then theres a cut over his shoulder that shows her eyes perfectly as the cloth is held over her nose and mouth by the man, holding both sides of the cloth. She manages to garble out, It was you, I knew it, before the man pounces more aggressively, really holding the cloth down with force and reducing her vocal protestations to garbled moans. Theres a cut to a long profile shot that shows her legs still kicking against the bed before they cease along with her vocal struggles. Cut back to the shot over the mans shoulder to a perfect shot of the womans eyes, glazed over, her hand weakly clawing before going limp and her eyes close. The man gets off her, leaving the cloth covering her face and picks up her arms and lets them fall limply on the bed to make sure shes out. He and his mother then walk her out of the house. The second scene is very quick, with the man tackling the girl from behind and smothering her with a cloth, mostly with our view obscured. TITLE: Blind Date (1984 US movie) aka Deadly Seduction Actress: Antigone Amanitis My Rating: Coming soon. Description: Shes chlorod from behind. TITLE: Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat (2002 US direct to video) Actress: Christina Cuenca; Cindy Roubal; Kristi Polit (2x) My Rating: 2 stars for 1st scene; 2 1/2 for the next two; 1 1/2 for last scene Description: An insane caterer kidnaps various young women, carves them up and prepares them for a feast to honor an Egyptian goddess TITLE: Blood Harvest (1987 US movie) Actress: Itonia Salchek (2x) Description: A sleeping girl is chloroformed. From an email I received: Brunette is chlorod 2x. First scene she is laying in bed on her back, cloth is applied she reacts by tilting her head on the pillow but never opens her eyes, when she goes out (about 3 secs) she drops back into pillow and cloth is removed. Scene is fairly dark but then she is bound spread eagle on her bed and has her top removed for pics taken by the assailant. SECOND SCENE: same brunette laying on couch (good light this time) she is sleeping again, bad guy sneaks in and applies cloth to face in close up, similar reaction to scene one, she lifts her head barely and lifts up an arm, she goes out very quickly and arm rests back on her stomach, and head gently lays back on couch. No mmphs, no open eyes either. She is carried out of the house, and a decent wake up scene follows next morning. TITLE: Bloodmatch (1991 US movie) Actress: Hope Marie Carlton TITLE: Blood of the Vampire (1958 UK movie) Actress: Barbara Shelley My Rating: 3 stars Description: In this horror film set in the Victorian era, a mad scientist is running an insane asylum and conducting experiments on blood he needs to stay alive. He chloroforms the lovely Barbara Shelley, who is standing with her arms shackled over her head. TITLE: Blood Salvage (1990 US movie) Actress: Laura Whyte; Lori Birdsong (2x) My Rating: 2 1/2 stars for all the scenes Description: A charming tale of a family of redneck organ harvesters, but a wheel-chaired bound blondie named April (Lori Birdsong) steals the rednecks hearts and ours. After chloroforming her mother and getting rid of her, they trap the poor blonde April in a camper shes trying to drive off in by pumping in homemade ether gas which overcomes her. The lead redneck says, Sweet dreams, my precious. She comes to on her bed. FIRST CHLORO: Sitting in her wheelchair, defiant as two of the villains, a father and son, approach her. The son stands behind the father and begins soaking a dark cloth. As the son approaches April with the cloth, she stabs him in the forearm with a knitting needle. Still, the son manages to pass the cloth over to his father who holds it over Aprils face with his left hand while holding the back of her head with his right. She tries to pull off his left arm, grabbing it with both hands, but is too weak. Unfortunately, the cloth covers her entire face. After a second, there is a cut to the son with the needle protruding from his arm, then a cut to an angle behind April with the father standing over her holding the cloth in place. After another second, he removes the cloth from her face and we see her right hand fall weakly off his arm as he pulls the cloth off and she sort of slumps over in her chair. The father then says, Im sorry I had to do that Miss April. After yanking the needle out of his sons arms, the father returns to the sleeping girl, whos wearing just a tank top and shorts, and cradle carries her to the bed thats in the same room. SECOND CHLORO: The father cradle carries the screaming April, again in no-sleeved blouse and shorts, but this time also in ankle socks, into a bridal suite. Pinning her to the bed, she keeps on struggling, and the father says, Alright, if thats the way its gotta be. He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a blue cloth and chloroform bottle. He quickly soaks the cloth, which he lays on the struggling girls face. He holds it over her face and she sways her head back and forth, unable to escape. After about four seconds, her struggles cease and he removes the cloth. This time, her vocal protests are better, kind of a scream, but again, the cloth covers her entire face. A montage follows and throughout she gives little whimpers: close up of her sleeping face, close up of her hand as a ring is slipped over her finger, close up of a sock being removed, close up of her brassiered chest as her blouse is removed, medium shot as he unzips her shorts and begins to pull them off, close up of her leg as he begins rolling on a stocking, close up of her face in distressed sleep, close up of her shoulder as a dress strap is slipped on, finally, she comes to with a start, bolting up in bed. TITLE: Bound and Gagged: A Love Story (1992 US movie) Actress: Ginger Lynn Allen My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: Chlorod by lesbian from front, but its very windy and her hair obstructs the view, and then the camera shifts to a half-profile, half-behind angle. Duration of the scene is about four seconds. The girl who does the English dub says No just as the rag is shoved in her face and mmphs throughout the struggle. The scene lasts about eleven seconds. The killer next drags her to the apartments stairwell and is about to toss her over when she comes to and screams and is saved by the hero. In this scene, we see a pretty senorita stalked by a mad doctor as she walks home on the dark, night streets. The man comes around the woman from the side and shoves a rag over her nose and mouth. She screams, but is then quiet through the rest of the scene as her face is leaned back, out of view as she passes out. After five seconds, he discards the rag and scoops the unconscious woman up and cradle carries her into his house. The man carries her into a lab and lays her onto an operating table. He tells her, Surely, follow me please, and our dopey reporter does. We cut to a white rag being soaked just as the door opens and Ms. Everhard enters. The rag is immediately held up under her nose and over her mouth in perfect position, she flails a bit, then her eyes close and shes dropped down out of frame. Entire scene only lasts three seconds, but its pretty good for being so short. We later see her, still unconscious, with her hands tied over her head, lying on a hammock. A bad cut interrupts the scene, but then we cut back to Hussey in time for a classic eye roll as she passes out, her head rearing back. TITLE: Dragon Loaded 2003 (2003 Hong Kong movie) aka Lung gam wai 2003 Actress: Stephy Tang TITLE: Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs (1966 Italian movie) Actress: unknown; Laura Antonelli My Rating: Coming soon. TITLE: Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion!, The (1997 US TV movie) Actress: Catherine Bach My Rating: 1/2 a star Description: One of the great crimes of late 70s/early 80s TV was the lack of scenes involving Daisy Duke (Ms. Bach) on the Dukes of Hazzard; judging by the lameness of this scene, we didnt miss much. Nothing more than an ultra-quick grab. She later wakes up moaning, Oh, my head. TITLE: Escape (1971 US TV movie) Actress: Marlyn Mason TITLE: Evil Ambitions (1996 US movie) Actress: unknown, Lucy Frashere My Rating: 2 1/2 stars for unknowns scene, 3 1/2 stars for Frashere scene Description: Coming soon. TITLE: Fanatic (1982 US movie) aka The Last Horror Film Actress: Caroline Munro My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: Caroline Munro plays a famous horror movie actress who is being stalked by some madman director. She is kidnapped from backstage at an award show toward the end of the movie. Shes watching whats going on onstage, and the kidnapper, dressed like a police officer, holding a white pad in his right hand, sneaks up behind her and taps her on the shoulder. She turns and he shoves the cloth over her face. After four seconds, her left arm goes limp, and he drops the cloth, scoops her over his shoulder and carries her off. A short but decent scene. TITLE: Fantastic Four, The (1994 US movie) Actress: Kat Green Description: Scene may only be implied. TITLE: Fatal Exposure (1989 US movie) aka Mangled Alive Actress: Joy Ovington My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: NOTE: this is not the Mare Winningham movie of the same name. The bad guy is a photographer who murders his models. He calls up Gretchen (Joy Ovington) and invites her to his house. After hanging up, he sets a ridiculously oversized jug marked chloroform on his table. Theres a knock at the door his prey has arrived. He soaks a crumpled up rag and answers the door, hiding the rag behind his back. Gretchen is a mousy brunette dressed kind of like a parochial schoolmarm: blue jeans, blouse, cardigan and glasses. Looking over the girls shoulder, he asks, pointing with the hand holding the rag, Is he with you? She turns around, saying, Who? and he strikes. The camera is from the chest up when he places the rag over her nose and mouth from behind with his right hand. After a second, theres a cut to a rear/profile shot from the waist up as he pulls her a bit into the open door. His left arm is gripped around her waist and has pinned her left arm to the side. Her right arm swings wildly as shes pulled backwards. After three more seconds, the scene cuts back to the front view as she succumbs. The scene concludes with him walking her unconscious body backwards into the house. A problem with the scene is that the rag is held in place the entire time and the light reflecting off her glasses makes it hard to see her eyes. Entire scene lasts about ten seconds. She comes to just as the bad guy is finishing up an old-tyme prostitute makeover on her: Gretchen is tied down spread-eagle on a table wearing see-through light blue bodysuit, black garter on one thigh, knee-high black patterned stockings and fuzzy black high-heeled slippers. The bad guy asks her as shes coming around, Still a little woozy? Thatll soon pass. TITLE: FearDotCom (2002 US movie) Actress: Isabelle Van Waes My Rating: 1/2 a star Description: A pretty blonde is lured to an abandoned theater by the prospect of starring in a movie. Its a good set up, but the scene is horrendous, completely ruined by the frenetic editing, ridiculously flashing lights, big shadows, etc., and we dont even see her pass out by the end, as shes still screaming as we cut away. TITLE: Fellowship of the Frog (1959 German movie) aka Der Frosch mit der Maske; Face of the Frog Actress: Eva Anthes TITLE: Ferocious Female Freedom Fighters (1982 Indonesian movie) Actress: Eva Arnaz My Rating: 2 1/2 stars Description: This movie is kind of a poor mans Whats Up, Tiger Lily?, featuring an Indonesian wrestling picture re-dubbed with a funny English track. After Eva Arnazs hands are tied behind her back, we see a ninja type guy really drenching a white cloth, he holds a small vial almost six inches from the cloth hes palming in his hand, kind of spilling chloroform everywhere. He then tosses the vial away and grabs Ms. Arnaz from behind, pinning her to his body with his right arm placed over her neck. He holds the cloth over her face with his left hand. She seems to do some nice eye work, but it is very hard to see because her black hair obscures our view. The dubber does a moan kind of like Michelle Pfeiffers in Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen, a very exaggerated and held series of unmm. We dont see the cloth removed. After five seconds, there is a cut to the bed and we see her unconscious body placed on it face down as her hands are untied. She is then turned over, and she flops nicely, very limp and believable. TITLE: Final Notice (1989 US TV movie) Actress: Melody Anderson My Rating: 1 star Description: Some psycho is vandalizing a librarys art books, carving up the photos of nudes in art and then carving up women in the same fashion. His next target is the pretty librarian played by Melody Anderson. Shes in her house on the phone when the line goes dead. Then the lights go out. Melody goes to the front door and exits tentatively, calling for the hero, but when she exits, the camera remains inside and shes off-screen when we hear her begin mmming and struggling. The man chloroforming her backs into the room while still chloroforming the woman, but we cant see her because she is facing away from the camera. The scene lasts six seconds, but what we see most is the mans back. Later, the cops discover a white handkerchief in her apartment and note, Its chloroform. Later still, we find the cute librarian tied up and gagged, but that only lasts for a couple seconds. TITLE: Five Deadly Angels (1983 Indonesian movie) Actress: Debbie Cinthya Dewi TITLE: Flesh Merchant, The (1993 US movie) Actress: Cathleen Hoadley, Gigi Doray, Elizabeth Chambers (2x), Twila Wolfe (2x) My Rating: all between 1 and 2 stars Description: First two girls chloroformed after theyd already been kidnapped in a very dark room with the cloth covering their face. Second two girls chloroformed in their apartment, again the cloth covering the face. Third scene of same two girls is worth the two stars. TITLE: Flower of Flesh and Blood (1985 short movie from Japan) aka Za ginipiggu 3: Chiniku no hana Actress: unknown TITLE: Folie des grandeurs, La (1971 French movie) aka Delusions of Grandeur Actress: Karin Schubert My Rating: 2 stars Description: A period comedy from France, with ruffled collars and wide, flowing dresses. Karin Schubert is talking to Louis de Funs through a small opening in a very large door. He turns to a table and picks up a cloth and a bottle which he pours into the cloth. He then unlocks and opens the huge door, hiding behind it as she enters the house. He grabs her from behind, holding her upper chest with his right arm and holding the cloth over her face with his left. She is leaned backwards, and the cloth hides her entire face. After about four seconds, she is sat onto the floor, cloth still in place and there is a cut off her. After another second, we cut back to her for two more seconds, sitting on the floor, cloth still in place, but clearly unconscious. Theres another cut as another man approaches, and we then see her still being held sitting, as the cloth is removed and the pair lift her up. TITLE: Foul Play (1978 US movie) Actress: Goldie Hawn My Rating: 2 stars Description: The albino first attempts to chloroform her at the library, but she manages to escape. Later, when she recognizes the bad guys car, she walks up to it to note the license plate and sees the driver get out. She waves at him with a smile to try to nonchalant the fact she was snooping when a white handkerchief is clapped in perfect position over her nose and mouth from behind. Her beautiful eyes open wide in alarm as we see the albino chloroforming her, but after four seconds, the camera moves off her and focuses upon the albinos face. A nice wake-up scene follows. It begins with a high-angle shot peering down upon the unconscious woman, lying on her stomach on the floor of a dirty room, and I love that one of her shoes has just barely fallen off her foot. We then cut to a close up of her face as she comes to with a puzzled look in her eyes, and licking her lips. TITLE: From Hell (2001 US movie) Actress: unknown My Rating: 2 stars Description: Fairly morbid scene, the womans hair has been shaved for an operation, shes strapped down, very scared, and ether coned, with a big close up of her eye fluttering shut. Not my cup of tea. After seeing some flashes in an alley, the girl goes to investigate and the villainess runs up behind her, holds her around the chest with her left arm and chloroforming with the other. The girls head is wrenched too far back for us to see her pass out, which she does after about five seconds, but then the cloth is removed and the dominatrix walks the unconscious girl toward her materializing master, holding one of her limp wrists. The scene concludes with a four star over-the-shoulder carry. TITLE: Going Ape! (1981 US movie) Actress: Jacqueline Hyde TITLE: Gold Rush!
