This is a memo about installing Linux on my libretto70. I will clear up this in the near future.
I thought I'll install NetBSD-1.3, but I can't get the CDROM. For the time being, use Debian GNU/LINUX I got InfoMagic's Linux Developer's Resource Dec 1996 which contains Debain-1.2.0.
First I checked whether the machine had defect or not with the Windows95 pre-installed. No problem here. Then checked again with the extra memory. No problem here again. Because I hear some of the settings of APM can change only with the Windows95, set it up in both battery only and AC adapter connected.
To remove the HDD you only need Loosen the two screws on the back of the body and pull the frame attached to HDD.
Attach the removed HDD to the desktop with the special cable for the 2.5HDDs.
Booting from Debian's install floppy. So far so good.
I made mistake at this time. Blindly erased the Windows95 partition.
To be continued...
