A Sulphur and Molasses Get Well Card
by Leon Deloach Deborde

The following get well card was written by Leon DeBorde to his niece, Doris Alberta Wanamaker, during a hospital stay in Spokane.

Comes now the season of gamboling lambs,
Of just arrived robins and Easter hams,
Cute little birdies with straws in their beaks,
Delicate greens creeping in on the creeks,
Rhubarb pie time is drawing near,
and the usual draught of cold bock beer.

Now you, dear one, brought low by surgical skill,
Sustained by your courage and indomitable will,
May think yours the most unenviable lot,
But just think of me --
it's spring fever I've got.
