| From the Independent Record, Wednesday, June 26, 1963: William H. Deborde Succumbs to Lengthy Illness William H. Deborde, 77, of the Park Avenue Apartments, died Tuesday in St. Peter's Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Deborde was born Sept. 5, 1885, in York and attended schools there. He was engaged in mining in the York area for many years and had been employed as custodian for the Park Avenue Apartments until his death. He married the former Alice Morgan on Oct. 4, 1910, in Helena. In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son, Clarence Deborde of Butte; a brother, Earl Deborde, also of Butte; three sisters, Mary Gross of Helena, Luella Hogan and Alta Morgan, both of Seattle; two grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. Chapel services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday in the Hagler Mortuary with the Rev. Alvin J. House of the Mission Covenant Church officiating. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery.
