LAST RITES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY MORNING FOR JESS A. DEBORDE


Funeral services for Jesse Albert Deborde, who died suddenly last Sunday at the home of his brother in Troy, will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Opp and Conrad chapel with the Rev. James Robertson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Forestvale cemetery.

Mr. Deborde, a retired postal employee, was born in Homer, Neb., December 7, 1878. When he was seven years old the family came to Montana and settled at York, where his father engaged in Placer mining. After finishing school he worked at mining with his father until 1916 when the family moved to Helena.

Retired in 1933

In 1917, Mr. Deborde became a carrier for the Helena post office and remained in that service until 1933 when he resigned because of ill health.

Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Ella Deborde of Helena; four brothers, Leon D. and Carrol F. of Troy, and William H. and Earl L. of York, and four sisters, Mrs. Luella Hogan of Seattle, Mrs. Gladys Williams, Mrs. Mary Gross and Mrs. Alta Morgan of Helena.

Active pallbearers for the funeral will be C. G. Filson, Charles Burgess, Dick Tinker, Rush Burroughs, E. C. Meyers and C. L. Bruce. The following have been named honorary pallbearers: C. J. Wilmer, Ray W. Scholtz, George Peterson, Robert Raymond, F. G. Starring, Joe DeBar, Jake Doerr, E. W. Toman, C. A. Albertson, C. E. Johnson and M. J. Gernold. All of the pallbearers are post office employees.
