David M. Williams, Pioneer Resident of Helena Area, Dies

David M. Williams, 67, prominent Montana pioneer and Helena resident, died yesterday morning at his home, 1023 Logan street.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 o'clock at the Opp and Conrad chapel by the Rev. H. M. Waldron. Burial will be in Forestvale cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born in Oregon gulch near York in 1873. He was engaged in the cattle and mining businesses until 1903 when he began operating the York store and postoffice. In 1900 he married Gladys Deborde. In 1917 he moved to Helena and was employed by the Turner Grocery company and later by the city of Helena.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gladys Williams; a son, Albert Williams; a daughter, Mrs. James Klein, and three granddaughters, all of Helena, and a brother, Tom Williams of East Helena.
