| From the Independent Record, Saturday, July 6, 1946: Albert P. Jones, 64, Helena Resident, Is Taken by Death Albert P. Jones, 64, well-known Helena man and long-time resident of Montana, died Friday morning in the Deaconess hospital in Bozeman, following an illness of two months. Mr. Jones was born Dec. 2, 1881, in Circle, Ark., the son of J. O. and Mary Jones. He came with his parents to Bozeman in 1891, at the age of 10 years. For 23 years, Mr. Jones was engaged in farming and teamster work in Bozeman. On Dec. 25, 1913, in York he married Annie Ellen Deborde, who preceded him in death May 13, 1933. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Jones came to Helena, where they resided for 19 years, making their home at 903 Poplar. Mr. Jones was employed for many years by the Continental Oil company in Helena before going to Portland several years ago. He returned to Bozeman about six months ago. Mr. Jones was an active member of Eagles lodge. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. George D. Graham of Butte; four sons, Kenneth Jones of Helena, Robert Jones of Portland, Earl Jones of Bozeman and Jack Jones, who is serving with the navy in Rhode Island; three sisters, Mrs. William Lawrence of Bozeman, Mrs. Fred Werey of Wisconsin and Mrs. Clarence Ford of Reed Point; three brothers, James and Walter Jones of Bozeman and Lewis Jones of California; two grandsons, Robert and Donald Graham of Butte, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Dahl Chapel in Bozeman. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery. OBITUARIES HOME |
