NOS #5122 & JR Liquid Intercooling
System, & JDM SiR Conversion
a.k.a 88_SC_CRX_Si
I was involved in an accident in the middle of last April (2003). When a lady made a left hand
turn then went all the way over to the right lane, causing me to rear-end her. As usual she had
no insurance, so I was forced to pay for the fix myself... (I was able to get "some" revenage tho)
However the damage was mostly cosmatic, so I decided to replace it with a JDM SiR Front
Conversion. Which has taken from April 26th when I first started to try to order one, until August 8th
when it FINALLY arrived.
During that time I was told that by this time next year (Summer 2004), it will be even harder
to get one. Soooo, if you have plans or thinking about doing the conversion. Best try to
get it ordered ASAP...
Pics of damage....
This site is for my 1988 Jackson Racing Supercharged CRX Si (2nd
Generation (88-91)), because that is what I own. Anyway thank you for stopping
in.
You will find information about my car, what I plan to do, and like everybody
else, "links". Thanks to everyone else's long hours of surfing.
Something to think about: If it were not for the 1st generation
of the CRX, their would have not been a 2nd generation. That brings up the
question of what happened to the 3rd generation?
(Sorry if I stepped on any Del Sol Toes.)

About My Car:
I bought my CRX in 6/99 after my 82 Honda Civic threw the number 3 rod. It
just so happened that one of the local Honda dealers was getting ready to send
it to auction, when I called asking if they had one. It had been wrecked in the
left rear quarter panel a few years before, had 255,000 miles on it, and they
were asking $2500 for it.
The title said it was shipped to Semi Valley, CA. and was built in 1987 1/2,
was the 215th by the last six digits of the VIN numbers.
Things that have been fixed or need to be fixed:
- Crank shaft pulley drifted, causing the timing belt to jump a tooth or
two, pieces of the plastic housing got caught in there. Replaced it with a HF
solid pulley, picked-up a terriable vibration. (The old pulley had a
rubber damper, something about early models??) (Replaced orginal pully 12/00)
- Replaced front wind shield. Dump truck got me, they are real careless around
here, (MAY THEY GET FESTERING BOILS ON THERE BUTTOCKS!!!!!) They have stickers
on the back that say: "Not liable for damage if following within 200 feet",
as they go flying by showering rocks. I had one come through my sun
roof and hit me in the face. I was lucky, it was small.
- Paint job, to cover the rock damage, and suffers from rust around the rear
wheel quarter panels.
- Sun Roof make's evil sounds when opening or closing.

JACKSON RACING INSTRUCTIONS: This is to remind myself of not getting
carried away with bolt on's.
We have dyno tested literally thousands of after market parts. We
have tested almost every ignition system known to man, every spark plug that
mankind has ever thought of, and God only knows how many cone style air
filters. To date, we have found absolutely no increase of any kind with all of
these "widgets". This included 136 different computer chips. If you have been
"chippin away" at performance, go back to stock. Our supercharger system has
been engineered to work perfect with all stock ignition components, we cannot
guarantee the performance or the reliability of the system.
If your going to start boosting up to 8+ psi., a header and J&S
Safeguard, or something like it is a must.
