Taito's Playstation 3D action shooting game
Cosmo Warrior Zero is sheduled to release in Japan on May 18 for 6800 yen.
Anime artist Leiji Matsumoto designs the characters. This game units
digital comic and action shooter together, there are 3 play modes:
Macrocosm Epic, Stage and Dual Mode. Macrocosm Epic is the story mode in
which you will see the original story of Cosmo Warrior Zero, Stage Mode
allows you to battle against the other main characters, and Dual Mode
allows you to battle against your friends.
Konami has delayed the release of Dance Dance
Revolution 3rd Mix for Playstation to June 1 in Japan.
Konami announced that they will release the
PS2 soccer game Winning Eleven 2000 in Japan on June 15 in single CD-ROM
format. Also Konami’s PS2 baseball game Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 7
will be released on June 22. Both
titles will be retailing at open price (price set by the retailers).
Konami also announced that they are working
on a new PS2 Sumo type game. The
game features real name sumo wrestlers from the Japan Sumo Wrestling
society. This game will also contain action RPG elements in which you can
train your own sumo wrestler and go through different events.
SCEI has established a Network Business
Preparation division in Japan, to handle the business promotion of the
e-distribution plans for Playstation 2.

Final Fantasy IX . FFIX is
scheduled to release in Japan on July 19 of this year.

Playstation gun shooting game Time Crisis Titan.
Bandai has released new screen shots of SD
Gundam G Generation 3. The
game features over 1000 different Gundam characters from 38 anime / manga
series, and over 100 stages. A number of new battle systems are installed,
including the new Gundam Fighting Spirits System and the Multi Scenario
System. This game will also correspond to the WonderWave, allowing you to
exchange data with the WonderSwan version of the game (SD Gundam G
Generation Gather Beat). SD
Gundam G Generation 3 is scheduled to release in Japan during summer time
of this year.

Square will be beta testing the their
PlayOnline network in Japan between fall to winter this year, they will be
distributing trial beta version of Final Fantasy X for both Playstation 2
and PC this fall, the game will be released in spring of 2001.
Square will release their PS2 wrestling game
All Star Pro Wrestling Ring in Japan on May 25, for 6800 yen, this game
supports up to 4 players simultaneously.
EA Square announced that they will be
releasing FIFA Soccer World Champions for Playstation 2 in Japan on May
25, in CD-ROM format for 6800 yen, supports 4 players simultaneously. This
game features the most popular Japanese soccer star Nakata in the game.
Idea Factory will be releasing a new
Playstation RPG this June called Embrace of Suna, the game takes place in
a fantasy desert world called Neverland, where you play as a treasure
hunter. Your job in the game
is to hunt for treasures at different places, and you can resell the
treasures for money, or combine them together to create new weapons and
armors. Since the game takes place in desert, you also have to search of a
source of food and water to keep alive.
Atlus will be releasing Persona 2: Eternal
Punishment for Playstation in Japan on June 29, the second episode of
Persona 2. Atlus will also release a Limited Deluxe Pack Edition of the
game for 9800 yen, only 20,000 units will be produced, the Deluxe Pack
will include the previous game Persona 2: Innocent Sin, plus extra Persona
collectable goodies. In the meantime, check out a new screen shot of the
CG movie in the game.
