Enix has released new info on their first Playstation 2 adventure game 0 Story (Love Story), scheduled to release in spring 2000 in 2 DVD-ROM set, this game is developed by General Entertainment. The story is about searching for true love, the main character is a youth who died in an accident, with the help of angels, he became a ghost and hoping to find a true love before he vanished. You will appear in human form, during the quest you will encounter different female who have the potential to become your lover. As a ghost, you have the ability to read other people's mind and find out whether they like you or not. You can also use the Arrow of Love to find out what the other people really like in their heart. (pictures taken from GodMars Sky).

Capcom has officially postponed the release of Bio Hazard Gun Survivor for Playstation to January 27.

SNK will release the Playstation version of The King of Fighters '99 in Japan on March 23, for 5800 yen, one week ahead of the DC version. Unlike the DC version, the PS version will be faithful to the arcade version, with 2D background and characters. In other KOF news, SNK will re-release The King of Fighters '98 for Playstation on March 9, for 2800 yen. Also, SNK is porting their popular Neo Geo arcade action shooter Metal Slug X to Playstation which is scheduled to release in Japan on March 30, for 5800 yen.

ASCII announced they will release a new Playstation 2 launch title on March 4 called Kakinoki Japanese Chess 4, the 4th installment of their chess game.

Konami will release the first append disc for Tokimeki Memorial 2 in early February in Japan, for 1900 yen. The append is called Separate Volume Hibikino Watcher Vol. 1 ~ Mireniam, an append disc for the Emotion Voice System in the game, which enable several other characters to speak to you in true voice.

Konami has formally announced the price of their PS2 soccer game Jikkyou World Soccer 2000, the game is scheduled to release at PS2 launch on March 4, for 5800 yen, in CD-ROM format.

THQ is working on a number of new Playstation 2 and Playstation projects, new Playstation 2 titles include Summoner (RPG), MTV Sports: Snowboarding 2, and a New WWF Wrestling game. New Playstation titles include WWF Smackdown, Evil Dead: Ashes to Ashes, MTV Sports: Skateboarding, MTV Sports: BMX Racing, Championship Motocross 2 featuring Ricky Carmichael, Power Ranger Lightspeed Rescue, Nickelodeon's Rugrats in Paris; all due out sometimes this year.

Atlus will release Toge Max G for Playstation on January 13. In the game you can race each course in either in morning, evening or night. There will be over 50 real cars in the game. You can tune your car before the races, including setting the Aero part, a feature rarely seen in other racing game. There is also a Story Mode, in which you can play as one of the eight characters, to become the champion of the Night Cruise.

Square / Escape's racing game Driving Emotion Type-S for Playstation 2 will be released in CD-ROM format. This game features real physical behavior, through driving method, torque performance, weight and air resistance, to faithfully reproduce real car racing experience, each type of car will have distinguishable performance and handling. All vehicles are in real names, the racecourses include famous race circuits such as Suzuka and Tsukuba circuit, as well as public road races. With the power of Playstation 2, the development team is able to push up the level of realism by implementing interior designs for the buildings on the side, as well as interior of the cars.

Info on Capcom's upcoming Playstation RPG Breath of Fire IV. The story is about the war between the two continents Fou Empire and the East Side Union, they are separated by the ocean of mud, but that doesn't stop them from knocking down each other for past generations, until a peace agreement is reached several years ago. But this is the beginning of a further tragedy, as new union forces breaking up from the two continents. There exists 4 types of Dragons in the world of BOF: The Sand dragon Junar, the Soil Dragon Nosto, the Grass Dragon Ta-Pu, and the Aura Dragon, a fire breathing dragon with the shape of human. The legend said the man born with the eye of dragon will change the world.

Sony's upcoming 3D action adventure game Chase the Express is scheduled to release in Japan on January 27. A new Digital Pan System is added to the game, allowing you to rotate the viewing angel to investigate on dead ends for hidden enemies and search for power up items. This game also features a branching system, since the adventure takes place in a cross-country train, at certain places you will encounter branching routes, which will lead to different events, enemies and possibly different endings. Similar to the new feature in Biohazard Code: Veronica, the main character Jack Morton can fire two guns at the same time, aiming at different enemies. There are two types of battle: weapon or bare fist, weapon battle is like gun shooting, and bare fist battle is like action fighting game similar to Final Fight.

From Software announced that both their Playstation 2 titles Eternal Ring (RPG) and EverGrace (Action RPG) will become PS2 launch titles in Japan on March 4, 2000. Eternal Ring is a real time 3D Dungeons / exploration type RPG like King's Field, but a number of new game system and elements make the game more complex and enjoyable, such as the real time weather, daylight system and the Ring Synthesis System, in which wearing different rings will enable you to cast elemental magic, as well as improving your abilities, there are over 50 different kinds of magic, and you can wear a maximum of 10 rings.

Taito announced that they are porting the arcade 2.5D shooting game RayCrisis to Playstation (2D gameplay and 3D background), the sequel of RayStorm. Scheduled to release in February 2000, the PS version will have 5 stages, including urban, water, desert, night city and high sky, you can freely choose the order of the stages to play. In each stage after you have defeated a fix amount of enemies, the boss will show up.

Koei has released new images of their Playstation 2 launch title Kessen (Decisive Battle), scheduled to release on March 4 in DVD format. This real time war strategy game is scenario based, each scenario you will first see a mini drama, then you can make arrangement to your army and plan your strategies. Different result in each scenario may lead to different branches and endings. The main attraction is the intensive real time battle system, you can see hundreds of soldiers fighting out in the battlefield real time, each character are highly detailed and well animated.

Konami will release their next Playstation dating simulation game Want to see you ~ Your Smiles in My Heart on March 16 for 6800 yen. This game will be in 4-CD set, it seems like this game will have a speech system similar to the one in Tokimeki Memorial 2.

ASCII will release RPG Tsukuru 4 (RPG Maker 4) for Playstation in March 2000, in double CD set for 6800 yen. This time you can customize summon magic movies (animation sequences) for each summon magic in the game.

Koei officially announced their next Playstation 2 title ~ Shin Sangoku Muso (True Dynasty Warriors in US), the sequel of their popular Romance of 3 Kingdom fighting game. Developed by their in-house team Omega Force, this game is planned for a Spring 2000 release in Japan, this game will combine elements of war strategies and 3D fighting game together.

Sources from Square USA's Honolulu Studio stating that the CG animation team has completed the development of movie sequences for Final Fantasy IX, including the intro, cutscenes and ending. The quality of the movies will be surpassing the ones in FFVIII.
