The requirment for all members of the Children of Gia is that they must exhibit proven psychic or metaphysical related abilities. Current members of the group have all demonstrated said abilities, which include, perceptiveness/intuitiveness, psychic abilities, reliable tarot readings and a flair for performing magick with noticeable results. So far the group has three members, including myself and is considering a forth. Out of these members, two of us have already practiced magick together, twice. The spells that we performed go as follows,
A Money Spell for Cameron
A gris-gris bag was fashioned from green gloth, filled with cinnamon, dirt from the Evergreen cemetary, pyrite, a green stone, a charged $500 bill of monopoly money and wax from the candle burned during the spell and a piece of the eggshell that served as an offering. The bag was charged over a lit green candle with the amount &2,600 written on it. The job oil and joy oil as well as olive oil was used. The candle was burned outside, with the egg in front of it and Oya was called upon, for she is Cameron's personal Orisha. So far the spell has met with success.
The Lady of Guadaloupe Spell
Performed at an old bank with two other non-members in attendance, between three trees on top of a wooden crate. The Virgin's candle was lit inside four white birthday cake candles and the prayer was said by both Cameron and myself, with the words changed to address our private concerns. An apricot was left in the center of the candles for an offering. Results are incoming.
If any individual should wish to join our order who does not exhibit proven abilities of a magickal nature and who can not be permitted to participate in ritual, may they be assigned the task of gathering information and learning of the craft, while seeking outside members for the order. No person who wishes to learn shall be turned away should their motives prove sincere.
Members should at all times be currently engaged in an assingment, performing ritual, gathering information or seeking to better their abilities or craft. Members should report all relevant activities to the order.
Goals to be Accomplished within the Order
It is the eventual aim of this order to procurre an establishment that can be utilized strictly for purposes and needs of the group. Such an establishment would house members in need, hold an area for designated ritual, contain storage areas for magickal supplies and an extensive library filled with reading materials that are relavent to the group and their purpose.
At such a time as this can be accomplished, all members dwelling within the establishment would be provided with the following materials:
Camera to be used while in the field and a never-ending supply of film.
Blank books for the purpose of record keeping, pens
Letter writing, stamps and other mailing materials for on the field reports
A personal Book of Shadows for the member and one that can also be shown to the order.
A laptop computer and internet access.
A pager and possibly for senior members a cell phone.
Access to video recording equipment.
Ritual robe and any related clothing.
Access to magickal supplies such as candles, incense and oils.
A magickal almanac including relevant dates, moon phazes and sabbats.
Chest for the purpose of containing magickal supplies.
Altar.
Access to the official library.
All members will be provided with free film developing and will be offered a copy of their pictures on CD. A copy will also be kept for the order. Members are encouraged to take pictures of all hautned houses that they visit, people that they interview, graveyards in their vacinity and any other churches, parks or other areas that strike them as having a peculiar atmosphere.
Another relevant aim of this order is to one day have possession of a metaphysical shop in which we would sell all manner of supplies needed for spellcasting, as well as herbs, oils, potions, incenses, candles of all shapes and sizes, books of shadows, ghost-hunting equipment, stones, statues of gods, altar cloths, books on the craft and religion, robs, gris-gris bags and voodoo dolls. Tarot readings will be provided and the idea of one day adding on a cafe with a vegan menu and perhaps a bar is being considered.
Classes on magick and yoga will also be provided and a manifesto describing the order and the life of its members will also be sold or provided in hopes of recruiting new members.
Another goal of the organization is to send members out to every known haunted site and investigate all claims of the supernatural, including cases of possession, hauntings, paranormal activity, exterterestrials, psychic phenomena, poltergiest activity, and all related sightings. Pictures, records, interviews and descriptions will be made on all assignments and will be kept in storage by the order.
Another aim of the order is to one day produce a horror network on television focusing on movies and television programs about the occult, vampires, voodoo, magick, ghosts, exterteriestrials and all manner of supernatural occurences. Through these programs we intend to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt the existence of life after death, as well as many of the other materials discussed in the programing.
